Back in the days when I was a dj at an always crowded, often rowdy club this was one of my "calming" songs I'd play when the lights came up at closing times.

Late for the Sky by Jackson Browne and Send in the Clowns by Joni Mitchell were the other two. Looking back, I think they may have confused the drunks more than they calmed them down back to normal human behavior.

I saw an amazing thing yesterday but was unable to find a way to post it here - Grace jogged my memory about it. It was an clip of an audio track where only Karen Carpenter's voice on Close to You (no backing, no instruments, no effects - sort of a capella) was present. Absolutely amazing and absolutely beautiful. Verging close to "back in my day when there was actual talent and "performers" didn't need any computer to keep them on pitch" comment so I'll quit.

I still listen to Pop, believe it or not. For certain things, it works. It's hilarious though because it's ALL autotune and synthesized sound. We have NO way to tell if there's any talent at all these days.

Pleasing to the ear when housecleaning or such, but that's about it.

Speaking of things that aren't k-rap, I always dug the Audioslave stuff. Cornell's vocals were always faves (for me). Morello on the guitar certainly did no harm either.
