It begs the question for you fellas. What would you have done if you were me?

No brainer, I would have done the same as you did.

Wouldn’t have given the baseball game any thought whatsoever - no matter who the player was.

TOTALLY unrelated, but speaking of baseball >>>

If I were ever choosing sides, these two would have been my first and second choices (flip a coin). A very close third would be Rose.

I didn't get to see Gibson or Koufax in their primes, so give me Ryan, thank ye very much.

I try to imagine Rose playing in any of the what-have-become-laughable All Star games (all sports). I don't know that the man ever played or did anything that he viewed as "exhibition". Well, at least not in SPORTS

Carry on! Back to movies and Danish girls!!!

Interesting.

I went to a Yankee game (I was in town on biz) back in 1996ish. Mariano Rivera was the starter that day. He got shelled. Anyway, people don't know it but he began his career as a starter.

Not ALL people. ;) Yes, most Yankees fans know that Mo' started his career in the 1st inning. But life took a HUGE turn in95/96 when he was setting up for Wetteland. Even Johnny knew his days were numbered. We ALL did (and he was GOOD!).

Not a single day went by that I didn't appreciate that man's game. We knew we were witnessing something very special, every trip to the mound.

The stadium is about a 20-25 minute drive from my house. MANY nights spent there, going WAY back....

My first games were at the OLD stadium, before they re-did it in the 70s. My buddy and I used to go on weeknights. Bleachers were $4 and the top four rows were $8.

Now, you can't buy a bottle for water (at the new monstrosity) for $8 (eyeroll). They can keep it. It's a shopping mall with a baseball field in the middle. Not my cuppa. I went the first year they opened and knew that it would be last Yankees game ever. TV is just fine, TYVM.

Could not agree more. It has gotten totally out of control.

Good story Bronze.
I took my girlfriend to Denmark when we were young, during a research trip for me to Europe. She was, and remains, a hottie.
While over there, I was struck that it seemed like all of the girls there were blonde and very sweet looking. The guys too, but I was not much interested.
A girl over a ball game for me.

Not too many critics' favorites, from what I recall, but it WAS one of MINE.

I liked the movie. Watched it a number of times and would watch it again. There was one line in there (and it was in your clip) that I've used many times over the course of my life. "Mathematics is the only true universal language". One, it is a language, and two it is universal. Good movie. I mean, Jodie was in it.

At least it always HAD been... (smh). That there are those who might be inclined to argue an opposing point today might be one of THE most boggling aspects of our times.
