I would take print outs of different models, and different mods that are on the market.
How the atomizer runs the whole thing, and that it runs off the small wire that is in the toaster oven. How that super heats up quickly vaporizing the liquid Nicotine.

People out there do really REALLY stupid things on the street. Many arrest have been made on people using while driving, walking down the street, in a movie, everywhere.
Not every cop in the world if going to be completely informed about every subject in the world.
It looked like the kind of thing that he has to look out for while doing his job so he made the stop and checked it out. And regardless of what anyone says or thinks, nothing is preventing you from going to the PD and talking to someone about it. If you go in there ranting and raving and yelling about it, well how would you treat someone acting like that towards you?
Shortstuff116 had about the best option imho, but I would say I don't consider it harassment. If the cops in your area kept stopping you and going through the motions on a regular basis when they saw you using an e-cig, that would harassment. One isolated incident with one uninformed cop is not in my book

also i believe that the atomizer doesnt get hot enough for ......... to vaporize, doesnt mean it wont others =\ but its something to look into since that is was was assumed, ill look for a thread i read

Awesome that you will be educating the police and that might just educate a lot of the public in the long run. I am sure you will get any help you need from here. Might want to print out some of the stickies to take with you.

That sucks! I almost got run off the road the other day by some lady who thought I was smoking with my child in the car (The window was open 2) She proceeded to scream swear words at my while driving irradiacally. My son learned a few new words 
I have since learned the art of stealth vaping!
If it was me I would shoot off a complaint to the police department with the time/date and details of the situation with information about e-cigs (what they are, how they are used etc.) as well as some referance links to websites they can check for themselves. If your really ingenious you can find the laws for smoking etc and add those in 2 just to show there is no law against vaping. I would also let them know that if it continues to happen that you will be filing a harassment complaint lol! Who knows you may even recieve an apology!

I completely understand the need to can drug talk, though I honestly don't understand how my posts applied. I was not talking about drug use at all. I simply stated to an uninformed police officer an e-cig could be mistaken for paraphernalia, which was completely on topic concerning her being pulled over for using an e-cig.

I get along fine with 90% of police (which is hard to believe, but I really do) but if I ran into some doorknob who wanted to search my vehicle without probable cause, I'd be pretty upset. Sounds like this guy was a

NEVER, EVER argue in the street with an officer.. But you also, NEVER, EVER consent to anything or give up any of your rights ESPECIALLY when they lean on you.

Also I have to say the officer wasn't portrayed accurately.. when one leans on you, they lean alot harder than this guy does in the video. I've been screamed at, threatened, tossed around, you name it. It's a very NOT FUN experience.
In another instance I was in the wrong place, at the wrong time and I looked like I was doing something I wasn't. I was aware of that and it was a local officer, with very good reason to suspect me and I didn't want him to assume I was involved in something I wasn't. I openly consented to his search for that reason.

Em- its GREAT that your local Polic station is willing and keen to hear you (a big thing in itself) and keen to have a demo of devices with info about what they are, what they do, what they look like, which is going to save your local police a TON of wasted time.
They are busy enough with REAL crimes, Im sure none of them like doing stuff which later turns out to be both legal and innocent (especially if it nets them a complaint from an angry ex-smoker) and increases their paperwork when they could be busting Johnny No-mates for burglary instead (but they missed him as they stopped a motorist for smoking tobacco...).
Keep us updated on how it goes - Im sure the CASAA people can assist with info/charts/research etc.
Oh and well done for stepping up and helping not only yourself and the police but other vapers in your area
