I've just received my mini from puresmoker. I'm not sure if what I experience is normal. When I puff it makes this annoying sipping noise, it tastes like burned chemicals and I feel like coughing and not smoking anymore after two puffs I take, just like after badly prepared hookah. Is it normal or is my atomizer broken/overhating/burning the stuff in the cartridge (I'm not really sure how it should work anyway? I tried both LOW and NO nicotine ones, same result. Please help, I'd really like to "go digital", but this thing really scares me.

It takes a bit of practice
I pull hard at the beginning, (generates the sipping sound), then lighten up.
It seems the sipping generates the throat hit, the rest is vapor generating.

did it taste like plastic from the get go? Unless you smoked your first cartridge extremely dry, there shouldn't be a burnt plastic taste. It may be a badddy Shoot me (PM/Email) your order # and I will put a new one in the mail for you!

How often do you all change your atomizers on the mini? I'm on my 5th cartridge, and it seems like I'm pulling really hard, and sometimes I have to "prime" it before the light goes on and I get a puff. Newly charged battery.
No matter at all, really, because it will still cost me less than one carton of cigarettes to get a "carton" of cartridges and a couple of atomizers!
I'm ordering another one (or two) right now, so I guess my question is maybe kind of moot, but I was just wondering what is the norm?

You atomizer is still in the breaking in faze. That first day or two is the "sweet" factory prime period. Draw is very easy, etc... Once the atomizer has been juiced for a while, the draw tends to get harder. But, you will actually get used to it. The reason you are noticing the draw getting harder is because you got used to the factory prime. Give it a couple days and you won't be able to tell the difference. I actually get a better throat hit once the factory prime has warn off. During the factory prime, I almost get nothing.

After lurking for the better part of a couple months, I figured it was time to come out of the shadows and post my experience with puresmoker.com.
It was in reviewing this board that I decided to "dip my toe in the water" of esmoking and go with Cash at puresmoker.com. The product was at a reasonable price to try it with yet supposedly of good enough quality to make a true, informed opinion on according to the reviews here.
I found that statement inaccurate... as the prices were *awesome* for what you got, and the service was well beyond any expectations I had.
I ordered both a 901 classic and 901 mini kit to start, so I could see the differences in how they smoke and the experience I was going to get. I know generally 2 of the same kits is recommended but I figured one could take up slack for the other while I got more parts for the one I preferred. Turns out I didn't regret my decision at all as both models have a place in my daily routine.
Steve's customer service is top notch, and I appreciate the fact that his items are pre-tested to save return time and turnaround, and get you e-smoking as quick as possible. I ordered the kits, and asked my questions and he was more than gracious with responses.
When they came, my initial impressions were that the items were well packed and cared for. It felt like Christmas in minature as I soon had chargers and parts and cartridges littering my desk as I went over each piece and figured out what I wanted to try first.
I started with the pen-style classic and was immediately impressed by the way it smoked. Having lurked and reading a few of the "tricks" of this stuff, I immediately starting enjoying the experience. Loading up some of his Marlboro cartridges in that and the mini, I found the experience of using both different, but similar enough that it wasn't a big switch in "technique" to smoke them.
It quickly became apparent that the pen-style was my "home" smoke, as it had a nice battery life to sit by my desk (I work online for ridiculous hours at a time), while the mini proved a great car-companion and work-smoker (popping out to take a few puffs was all I needed, I discovered).
Within a few days my actual cigarette count went to few then zero, and I've been cigarette free for the last 2-3 weeks without remorse or cravings. In fact, a few days after I started with e-cigs, I tried regulars and found they tasted "filthy" in my mouth, so immediately went back.
In all, without companies like puresmoker.com, I don't think I would have had the ability to fairly judge how well esmoking worked with a quality y et affordable product. A huge thank you to Steve for the price and service in opening up this new avenue for me.
On a side note, one of my chargers failed and would no longer work with any of my batteries or spares. I asked Steve about it and he immediately sent a replacement gratis. This was after I'd put in a second order for various e-fluids and spare batteries and stuff, so was not thrown into the shipping cost, he did it out of his own pocket just to satisfy a customer. (and BTW... 15ml efluids, top notch quality, and in excellent dripper bottles for 10 bucks is a steal... I'll be ordering many more)
So all in all, for a new e-smoker, or even an "old hand" I'd recommend puresmoker. The service, price and consistency in merchandise definately rates tops in my book. In fact, people curious as to my new fixations get referred there first to try it for themselves. Heck, I'd rather they get a fully informed opinion with quality products than spending too little on crap or overspending for disappointment if it's not for them.

I just have to make a statement....there is nothing like a new cart...when it comes to my 901 mini...there is nothing like a new cart. Make sure you have them.
