3. I started with the cigalikes, and went back and forth with the analogs They just weren't satisfying or fun enough. Then a good friend of mine got into the more advanced set ups and worked on me (and my wife) until we went to buy our own. We smoked our last real cigarettes on the way to the vape shop 4 weeks ago.

Edited to add that we tried the Njoys and Blus. Both sucked. We started with EVOD2 starter kits and have already bought better tanks and batteries (we both use Vision Spinner IIs and I use a Kanger Mega Aerotank and my wife a nautilus Mini). I only like mints and menthols, and my wife likes to keep it simple too, but she also throws in clove and cinnamon once in a while. I'm awaiting supplies to build my first mod. :)

I guess you could say I'm a 3.

the real story is I began using a Blu rechargeable kit which I grew to despise. Apparently the battery is as powerful as a watch battery so you're spending a lot of time switch batteries. Not to mention you're plopping down $14.99 for a 5 pack of cartos and MAYBE you'll get 3 working ones, one of which you had to mess with to get it to work.I will however say their customer support is phenomenal.
I then found a Haus personal vaporizer which proceeded to spit burning hot e-juice in my eye and I threw it as hard I could into the parking lot at work. $35 well spent.
I then found happiness switching between cheap tank and even cheaper tank on an Ego C-Twist and it's been PV ever since.
When I decided to quit, I said that was it and I am finished smoking. I've just been trying all this time to find a device that would make me happy. I'm well in to the three digits as far as buying tanks, batteries, and mods but I spend a lot of my time now playing with new tanks, batteries, and mods I haven't had a cigarette in four months.

I quit smoking with a combo of disposable cigalikes and nicotine gum. Ended up completely nicotine/smoke/vape free for over a year, but in that time turned into a total witch. After a huge fight with my hubby, went out and bought another disposable because I simply refused to start smoking again. I instantly realized that a little bit of nicotine turned me back into the happy go lucky person that I used to be. Disposables were just too darn expensive. I got and ego setup and haven't looked back.

#2 for me.

I did a couple weeks of research and decided to start out with the eGo battery/clearomizer combination. I set a date (Dec 10, 2012), ordered everything I needed prior and made the switch on that day. I was a pack a day smoker for 26 years, well most of it anyway (I started when I was 14), and I haven't had so much as a drag off an analog since that day. I am addicted to the "action" of smoking as much as the addition to nicotine, so I never even tried the gum or patch. Tried cold turkey a couple times, but that never lasted longer that 5 days. I started out with 24mg nic, but within 3 months had lowered that to 6, where I have stayed since.

Well it’s a mixture of 1 and 2:

I quit smoking with cig-a-likes, and I didn’t resume smoking for about two years using those.

I decided to quit doing anything what so ever and threw away my devices.

That lasted for about a day or two, and then I went back to smoking for a few months as a stop gap.

Around the same time a new vape shop was opening in my local town and bought a gen 2 device and haven’t smoked since, although I use an MVP and an Aspire at the moment.

Assuming I don't relapse, I'm a number 2. I've never had a cigalike in my hands. Started with an ego-c, no-name disposable clearomizer, and Liqua 18 mg 'Traditional Tobacco'. For the first month, I only played around with it at home. Started taking it out with me when I'd tapered off (from 1.5 pad) to 6 or so cigs a day. Was still using that same setup when I quit completely on June 11, 2014. I must say, for the junk it was, that initial setup served me well, but within 2 weeks I'd equipped myself with 2 ego-t's and several Aspire CE5/ETS. From there on to EVOD's, an Aerotank, and (regrettably) a Nautilus. Still using the EVODs / Twists daily because they're what I have, but looking to upgrade my away from home setup.

If I had it to do over again I'd skip the ego-c, all the Aspire tanks, and go straight to the twists/EVODs.

So here I sit at the 5 month mark with an MVP2, SVD, Kayfun Lite +, and more upgrades en route. Obviously still climbing the mountain, but atm I'm totally content with craving more watts over craving cigarettes. :)
