I wanted to know how everyone was doing by asking where you fall on the e-cigarette spectrum.

1. Still a smoker, have not started vaping yet but am thinking about buying an ecig.
2. Started vaping but still cant give up smoking. Dual user.
3. Quit smoking but continue being addicted to nicotine in ecigs.
4. Quit vaping and all forms of nicotine entirely.

1. vaping 1 1/2 years now
2. Started vaping was dual user for first few months. Wasn't really trying to quit smoking, but had last cigarette 1 year ago.
3. Yes still addicted to the ACT of smoking/vaping.
4. Never was addicted to nicotine, IMO. Still not. I have always had more of a habit than an addiction. Now, while I do prefer nicotine juice, for the FEEL. I don't have any issues when I use non NIC juice. Just like when I smoked. When I wanted a smoke, it didn't really matter if it was from the Red Pack or a baggie. As long as it was smoking. Only one of those cigarettes had any nicotine, also.

#8 - Dual user. Started vaping, and still smoke, but could quit either at any time of my choosing.

Can easily back up the non-smoking claim via 3 times previously quitting smoking, never for less than a year, and knowing now that I'm nowhere near addicted to smoking at this point. Being a moderate smoker rocks.

FDA/TC hates dual users, which is almost reason enough to be a dual user. Though, admittedly, TC likes claiming that no one truly quits smoking via vaping, and exploits dual users under this false assumption. But one of around 5 reasons I still choose to smoke is to counter the political nonsense. Were I not using moderately, it could conceivably be a problem, but that I am, it makes me want to take on anyone, who's even a little anti-smoking and watch them slither away in defeat from the whooping they'd get if a serious/reasonable debate were to ensue.

Don't fool yourself if you are vaping on a daily basis then you are addicted to nicotine.
Try going 1 day without vaping and if you aren't feelin withdrawal than you can keep your 5

Then I can keep my 5 :D
I also drink nothing but coffee......................I've seen what fish do in water:shock:

Another +1 for #5.
#6 - Had no intention to drop cigarettes, even though I knew for most of the 30+ years that I was smoking that it wasn't good for me. Vaping changed that more than a year ago.
Yep #6 for me too.
I had planned on smoking till I died. 40+ yr habit. Had quit several times using various methods. Nothing worked over a couple of months. Wife sneaked and got me an ecig kit and was off cigs within 1 week. Still cig free over 1 yr later and down to 3 mg nic level.

Many can't go without coffee for a day. Caffeine and Nicotine are very similar.
And except for some people with circulatory issues and such Nicotine in moderate doses is not harmful to the human body. Smoke is.

Wow, it's great to see so many #5 answers here.

I'm kind of a #5 hybrid I guess, in that I don't really get any "enjoyment" out of nicotine.
I get my "enjoyment" from the act and actions of using an electronic cigarette.

I'm just using nicotine for the health benefits.

By the way, I am currently in the middle of Day 3 with zero nicotine liquids.
I have not noticed any specific loss of mental acuity yet.

But the big test will be tonight while watching Jeopardy with my wife.

Haven't smoked since September, 7, 2015.

I don't think that anyone has demonstrated that nicotine alone is addictive or dangerous. Yes, I was addicted to Marlboro Light cigarettes, with ammonia and God knows how many chemicals, but with vaping it's quite different. I never wake up wanting to kill something if I don't vape right away. My vape gear is nowhere near my bed even.
