for the record frankie.. the lady pipe is the only chinese made smoking device i find interesting.. i might even consider selling them..

but not until i know how long the battery holder part lasts..

a lady pipe at 75 euros (western reseller price) is made up of..

one cheap chinese classic atomizer... euro cost 8 euros..

one cheap chinese battery.. euro cost unkown but lets say 3 euros..

one cheap chinese charger.. euro cost say 8 euros..

add this lot up... we have 19 euros..

that leaves 54 euros to pay for the cheap chinese battery holder which contains the all important switch.. how long the one dollar switch lasts in the expensive battery holder is the import part..

chucking a chinese made pipe away cos the switch fails aint a deal different then chucking a complete generic pipe away cos the atomizer part fails..

the lady pipe is a classic atomizer powered by a decent battery.. it will work.. whats unknown is how long it will work for..

i care about these things even if some dont..

Well, can´t you add your own manual switch? You must have tons of these as well as the skill, obviously. Then it would be a screwdriver with a style. you already said you were trying for a pipe...

EDIT: Or the other way round. If the auto switch dies, how difficult is to replace it with manual? Basically the owner would have a complete battery mod without a switch.

someone once did it with a generic pipe a long time back.. i loved the pipes.. but the atomizers died just like all atomizers die.. the problem here frankie is price..

a thirty quid kit can be kept going with new cheap parts the old ones being thrown away.. atomizer or battery..

now a 75 quid item can have the atomizer replaced.. but that leaves another 75 quid to be forked out when the switch dies.. as i am pretty sure it will

your idea of style is also in doubt frankie.. i dont think a miniature crack pipe has it to be honest.. the dutch designers might.. my comments are based on the requirement of normal users..

i would tolerate the lack of style thow if it worked and kept working..

are they a good buy for the average user.. dunno only time will tell.. but it does come down to how long the switch works..

a question for u frankie.. would u like the SD more if it was entirely made in china as opposed to part made in china and part made in the UK.. ??

our next step might well be have the entire thing made in china.. can u make these mr chinese factory man.. how may u want says mr chinese factory man..

mr chinese factory man has seen one and been asked the question.. mr chinese factory man.. he say yes..

making and selling twenty a week might well turn into selling a thousand a week.. and we wouldnt even have to do it.. sounds like good idea to me.. what do u recon..

Well... I would like it more it it was made in China with cheaper labour and carried the Chinese price tag, yes. Or no, I don´t know, I sort of avoid manual switches. Might try it, anyway. Because it would not be then a device you just have to use due to the comparatively huge investment you made into it. (Wrong person to ask, anyway. I would like to become a very light vaper in a year or so).

On the other hand, I would not mind the huge markup, if the device looked classy to me. For example, like that "shock your friend" pipe Knutselpeter used for his mod. It does not look like a real pipe, is sort of excentric, but modern and beautiful at the same time.
Maybe I should put an ad to the classifieds to find somebody to make it for me... :scratches his head:

I have ordered myself a lady pipe from smokejuice here in the uk......unfortunately I hadn't read enough of the threads to have realised that it would be useless if the switch fails... I had thought about buying the sd but it was too expensive for me to pay out all that much money at once....(cashflow problems) ........In my 2 months of vaping the vacuum switch on batteries has been the only reliable part for me so far... so hopefully it will be the same on the lady pipe.
