What up ECF?
So it's been about 1 year and 2 months since my last cigarette, and 3 weeks ago I figured I would try and go the entire day on 0mg nic.
It was no problem, but I figured I didn't have anything to do, I was hungover and spent the entire day playing video games, the real test would be bringing 0mg only to work.
Monday comes along, I'm vaping 0mg all day and only raised my voice twice (which I'm pretty sure I would've done anyway).
I keep going through like this and do a full week of 0mg, with barely any withdrawal issues at all.
Week 2 comes along and I figure, since I'm not getting any nicotine I might as well just not vape at all. I brought my gear to work with me just in case (still only loaded with 0mg). When I'm waiting for something to load at work I would reach for my e-cig, and then catch myself and avoid it. Beyond reaching for it without thinking about it, I made it through the day no problem. I've done two weeks so far (without the 0mg even), and the past week I haven't had any e-cig stuff on me.
I've been out for beers with people who are smoking, in a car with a buddy who is vaping (windows up), and I haven't felt a craving that didn't go away within a minute.
Anyway, I never started this thinking I would be quitting vaping, and I still don't have that attitude, but if it happens, it happens. This was just an experiment about how hard it would be for me to quit vaping that I figured I'd share.
Edit: I also wanted to add that when I quit smoking I used to rage so much to the point where I thought I would black out I was so angry. So this is a very welcome change.
