It's my birthday on the 13th. So, I would like suggestions on a birthday mix.

And by that, I mean I want someone to come over with one of those organizers, (well probably many of them) and do some spreadhseety thing with my flavors, and having done so offer me the BEST birthday mix ever.

I can mix it myself. I don't want you lot thinking I'm lazy or anything.

Just... taking suggestions :) Still have not nailed ginger ale and brandy.

I saw this on fb and saved it for later
Oreo Balls
FA Cookie Biscotto 1%
RF Cookies & Cream 9%
TPA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream 4.5%
TPA Vanilla Custard 1.5%
Sweetener 1%
TPA Cheesecake 2.5% - 3%
I'm assuming TPA is actually TFA (I know same company but different things, tpa isn't really made to be used in vaping from my understanding)

I'd also try a really simple 2 or 3 ingredient mix - purely to see if you can taste the flavours in it. Maybe just a berry and a cream.
That's precisely what I was thinking of doing.

The thing is, I can taste everything right off the bat (even if I don't necessarily like what I'm tasting). After the first, sometimes second, and rarely third try, the flavor all but disappears. It's like almost instant vapor's tongue. That's why I began to suspect my tastebuds are being overloaded.

At this point, I don't even know. I've tried mixing flavors I like in real life--citrus and berries--and nothing has hit the spot, though I seem to taste orange the best. Bill D. Lemonade reminds me of watered-down lemonade made with ReaLemon (in other words, not great). Berry Berry Good in no way lived up to its name. I can barely tell that Dinner Lady Lemon Tart is supposed to be lemon. I recently got some Castle Long, because it gets such praise and the flavor profile sounded good, and it doesn't taste much different from the blend of Halo Tribeca and Devon that I used to vape in my early days and found merely okay. Mostly, everything feels very dry to me and tastes kind of bland and ashen.

I've begun to wonder whether the problem is that my tastebuds are too sensitive and are getting overwhelmed. I may try scaling back the flavor percentages to see if that makes a difference.
    That's not a bad idea.

This is the first time I’ve tried the lemon cake so it must be what’s making the difference. As a matter of fact, I don’t think I’ve tried any cake flavors. I have a few but never used them.

I am having the same issue. I can taste it after the first draw, then it's all downhill from there.

So I tried lowering some percentages. Hopefully I can remember why they are there when they finish steeping.

Unfortunately I am the last person you want creating a recipe for you. However, what I am good at is naming a mix someone else suggests for you. So in celebration of your birthday I name your mix, .... Naked.

I hope you enjoy vaping .... Naked on your birthday.... pics or it never happened.

    Happy Birthday Anna.

This is one of the reasons I have so many different flavors/set-ups in my daily rotation. This sometimes happens to me so I just switch devices. Then when I go back to that one, I can taste it the next time I hit on it. I then consider whether or not when I remake the flavoring/juice to up the flavoring maybe by a % or so.

    :)

eta---sometimes I just allow the mix to steep longer. Most flavoring is not necessarily done maturing even tho we vape it at xx time. Of course, it depends on the flavors involved but on most of my mixes I --over time-- do find they do keep maturing. It is dependent on how much we use in the mix.

That sounds tasty to me too.

FAUK has a couple of other chocolate type blends that sound good other than Chefs does not sell them. One is a chocolate and banana. Growing up when we went to Balboa Island I always got a frozen chocolate covered banana. There is something about a cold firm banana that taste so much better than a soft, warm one at least to me. Today when I buy bananas sometimes I put it in the fridge. I generally do not like banana ejuice so not sure how this would translate.

I bought Brekkers and anxious to try this one. It is an all-in-one breakfast with espresso, creamy pastry and a hint of champagne. I have had FA Espresso and it is a strong flavor so hope Brekkers is not over the top for me. If so, may need to do some doctoring.

Custard Pi has been around for a while now and I could never find a definitive on what the flavor is so I asked FAUK. It is a Custard with other FA flavors to give the experience of a Custard Pie with crust. I presume they used FA Apple Pie for the crust although not positive. As far as the other flavors, they did not reveal this.

Jaggerbomb is one that I did not buy and is one that I am too chicken to try.

I bought a few other FAUK Blends to try.

A roll of masking tape and a sharpie and I'm good to go.

I type my labels only because my handwriting is questionable — first line: juice name, second line: date mixed and date ready. No PG/VG or nic cause they are all the same and I only mix for myself.

I am taking a break from the sft and trying the LMN#. Wow it’s good! It really tastes like a cake.

I mixed this a year ago when I went through a phase of trying pound cakes. I was disappointed in #LMN after reading such great reviews. How long did you steep #LMN? I may need to try it again.

I don't like banana flavored vapes but I love to eat them.

    Brekkers??

I do not like black licorice.

Where are you getting the FAUK flavors that Chef's doesn't sell?

Do you follow the recipes as written including the brands? It look me a long time when I was buying commercial and started DIY that certain flavor brands and certain compounds I cannot vape because it mutes the entire juice for me. Sometimes I can taste it after a couple of hits and then nothing. For me it usually has to do with what compounds are using to make the flavor and mostly sweeteners including Ethyl Maltol. There are brands I no longer buy cause they cause issues for me. With commercial juices it was the amount of sucralose that a lot of them contain. It is not possible with commercial to know what brands they use.
