That would be a boon for me if the v1 is indeed better. What is everyone's opinion in V1 vs V2? Are there custards out there even better, different? Who is the next contestant in the Custard Showdown?I’d love to hear your explanation on using the v2 CAP custard instead of the v1 CAP custard. I was under the impression (possibly I’m mistaken) that many like the v1 more. Please correct me if I’m wrong and like I said, I’d love to hear your opinions on the difference
I'm glad to have this confirmed. I bought Vanilla Bourbon assuming it was a vanilla (bourbon vanilla is the name for vanilla from Madagascar, as opposed to Tahitian or Mexican vanilla) and have been puzzled to hear it described as a bourbon. There is no bourbon in Vanilla Bourbon nor is it a replacement/sub for ABC. It is the region where this vanilla comes from. This is not to say you cannot use it. ABC is very good. Shisha is always a good vanilla option. I have a bottle steeping with Vanilla Custard in it. So many possibilities with the base.
Hangsen has some good tobaccos. I never liked the ry4 double.I never really picked up on a tobacco flavor in ry4 double either. It always confused me when people called it a tobacco flavor.
I recently tried HS gold and silver. I really like it. It tastes like a commercial juice that I used to buy that was a light tobacco flavor.
Never tried the FA Vanilla Bourbon but the TFA is good stuff.I'm glad to have this confirmed. Care to share your favorite recipe that uses it?![]()
Thanks very much. As long as the ry4 doesn’t introduce any tobacco flavor, I’m comfortable getting itI use it in Frans's fabulous milkshake base. I also use it in a recipe called Holy Sundae that I am enjoying more and more each time I tank it up. Even though it uses HG RY4, it's all Sundae.
butterscotch ripple FW 1.5%
Holy Holy Grail RY4 v1 8%
Vanilla Ice Cream LB 5%
Vanilla Swirl 2.5%
I steeped it 3-4 weeks. If you do not like sweet eliquids you might want to only make a 10ml tester on this to see if you like it. I don't think it's too sweet at all, but I could totally see others thinking it is.![]()

ECX I does I think, been a while since I've been to their site beyond just looking to see if they carry a specific flavor.Does anyone know, off the top of their heads, the flavor sellers that list in the description the suggested usage? I know BCF doesn't, but recall buying from a vendor that did, I just can't recall which one
So Holy Holy RY4 just tastes of vanilla and caramel?
Never had the pleasure of trying those. To me it taste like the best caramel and vanilla combo I have ever had. No tobacco presence at all....
I agree with everyone in regards to RY4 double. You know what it reminds me of? Vapor Station's line of tobacco flavors. All of them actually...lol
Never had the pleasure of trying those.
Just CAP. I would only guess INW's is potent, and also guess that it is tasty.Have you tried Inw custard?
It is tasty. So is FA Premium CustardJust CAP. I would only guess INW's is potent, and also guess that it is tasty.
The Apple Cream Cake is even better with a 3 day steep. It’s refreshing with the Green Apples but still a touch creamy. Perfect for hot summer.Wow, that looks (sounds) delicious! Damn, I could have sworn that I had the VTA, but these are the only apples that I have:
- Granny Smith Apple (VTA)
- Double Apple (Cap)
- Fuji Apple (FA)
I'll save this for later and check in on the thread. Thanks, @Heartsdelight !
I was a mixin' fool on Saturday morning (Good thing, too, because by mid-afternoon, I was a 'migraine' mess & slept for about 12 hours):
In all of this, I've totally forgotten to taste the Snickerdoodle and @Fidola13 's Cheesecake I made, which are both well steeped. I've got tanks to wash, so I may have to bite the bullet and build an RDA.
- Truckin's Bourbon Cream (20ml)
- @Skeebo 's Bourbon-Brown Sugar Milkshake (20ml) <-- Steep, please?
- Ella's Shortbread Biscuit (20ml)
- Kringle's Curse (Clone) (90ml, because I already finished the 50ml that I made about month ago)
- Added 50% more flavor to @Skunk! 's Plum Tobacco, because I could barely taste it.
- Mixed up 8oz of 15mg Nicotine base for mixing convenience
- Lastly, experimented w/ @barkfunklerbunk 's LMT: Split the remaining leftovers into 2 bottles (about 7ml each), added a bit of Forest Fruit in one and Blueberry Extra in the other... Being the small, light, plastic bottles that they are, I accidentally knocked over the latter (barely even touched it
), so it may taste more like I waved the BB Extra flavoring over the bottle. Yeah, there was no bowl under the bottle to catch anything...

I have everything but the Red Burley too.I don't have Red Burley. How do you think this would be without it?
I would say it’s FA Custard Premium aka Flavour Creative rebottled name from Chefsflavours in the UK. But it has baddies in it hence is not sold in the USA. It’s definitely lush. That would be a boon for me if the v1 is indeed better. What is everyone's opinion in V1 vs V2? Are there custards out there even better, different?
