    Somewhere between here and there
I put one of the kamry mods together and put a battery in with a zenith and a 1.6 coil. I was honestly a little nervous. I haven’t used a mech mod in many years. Honestly the vape was a little weak compared to my aegis.

I stocked up on regular mods thru the years and then added the more recent ones. I don't have a mech and I don't want one either. I made sure I have plenty of mods to see me though. I haven't lost a mod in ages and that was an iStick 20

I just cannot imagine vaping avocado. You're a brave soul for even trying it.
I'm sure the flavor has no relation to an actual Avocado. It's good. I've never had an avocado but I'm guessing you don't like them

I think the only mods that ever petered out on me were Vamos, Lavatubes, and SVDs. That’s been awhile ago. We’ve come a long way.

Mech user (REOS) for years. You HAVE to do an ohms check. From one coil post to the other, or from the center pin (fire pin) and the body of the atomizer. Your Ohms should hold steady for there or four seconds. If they fluctuate, there is a loose connection. If there is no Ohms reading, it's broken. If it reads Zero, there is a short.
Mechs work great as long as you set them up properly.
So you're telling me I need an ohm meter? I.e., checking builds on the Coilmaster tab isn't sufficient?

Anything 510 should work. Just be careful of your builds, if you build too low, could be trouble since there is no protection. Your zeniths/zlides should be fine with the 1.6ohm coil.
I'll be using RTAs on my mechs. I was warned back when building wasn't even a twinkle in my eye that tanks using drop-coils should never be paired with mechs.

Are you referring to the ohm reading of the atomizer? Or is this checking flow from battery to atty?
I have read a lot of mech info here on ecf but never really intended to use them, so there are some general practices I might be missing.
I intend to keep any mechs in storage as a last resort, but I do want to know how to be safe with them of course. I know about reasonable coil builds for the battery load, but I don't know ohms law. So I can't calculate what a build will do but I can read info about it, coilX draws 15 amps so demands a battery with X continuous discharge.

More states are talking about bans. Eeek, we are going downhill fast.
This morning I saw a local news story that had a clip from Ohio Gov Dewine where he was going on about flavors hooking kids and the epidemic of addiction. The local news did go on to talk about the sicknesses linked to illegal street cartos and how the ban in NY was going to affect businesses with many shops revenue 90% from flavored liquid. Dewine is kind of a wormy weasely guy, it was hard to watch him talk the same rhetoric as others with little smiles on his face.
The news is coming out with the full story about the sicknesses more frequently though, not supporting it but not demonizing it nearly as much. I think more people are starting to see the drastic over-reaction that has been happening.

Interesting since we had mech way before RBA's and RDA's were even thought of. We used cartos, carto tanks, vision and vivi novas with replaceable coil heads.
