I can't explain $300 for a mod to myself.
If Provari was still around, I might have bought a radius instead. But, they’re way more than the dicodes if you can even find one. Plus, no service/repair/warranty since provape is no more. From what I understand, the Provari repair guy is winding down. The dicodes comes with a two year warranty, and since they’re based out of Germany, I feel like there’s a better chance of getting it repaired if something happens. I bought it for the quality and excellent engineering. I have some money left from my retirement “bonus”, so I thought, why not treat myself to something awesome since I worked so hard for years to earn that bonus. Certainly, it’s not the mod for everyone. Buy what you like and at the price point you’re comfortable with. I also bought two more of my favorite istick 40s since mine are getting elderly. But, they’re internal battery means they won’t last forever. For roughly the same size and a 18650, the dicodes will last a lot longer.

Soho = Swill
Uh-oh. I just got some Soho recently and mixed at 6% for the wife. She hasn't tried it yet. I won't taste it, tobaccos don't agree with me.
She likes mixes I make with Cuban Supreme and Dessert Ship though, I think Dessert Ship reminds her of tar and ash. It's like burnt rubber and corn chips to me.

My husband is a control freak. He is absolutely convinced that vaping is far more destructive than smoking and that I should just stop vaping or simply use gum/patches. He was never a smoker, so he doesn't get it and never will. Every time he catches me vaping, I get called every condescending name in the book (because I'm "stupid and selfish"). I would dump his a ss tomorrow, if it wouldn't cause even more distress for me and our son. (I've learned to choose my battles.) I believe he has developed the same condition his mother, grandmother, brother, and nephew have (bipolar), but yet he believes he is only normal one in the house and everyone else is screwed up... Yay, me.
I’d dump him in a heartbeat.I don’t see how it would cause more distress than you already have.

If you do use solid caps, the rubber on the dropper lid lets flavor molecules escape. Since that post I've moved all my flavors into PET. The 20ml and 30ml bottles are easier to squeeze. Tried ldpe but some concentrates were too acidic and ldpe bottles would get leaky and soft.
I'd be using bottles with phenolic caps and dispensing with pipettes or syringes, both of which I don't mind cleaning.

Reading through this thread from the start is like participating in an archaeological dig. I've come across @AngeNZ's very first post about mixing! And then there's @FranC saying she mostly doesn't bother with sfts . . .

I'm holding on until my son is able to make the decision of who he wants to live with, should there be a divorce. My husband can be vindictive and spiteful, so I am hoping to avoid a vicious custody battle. If only my husband would see a doctor for diagnosis/treatment, everything would be fine and back to how things used to be. He insists there's nothing wrong with him (his mom always said the exact same words), so I'm thinking that will never happen. The man lets the most mundane things infuriate him... It's exhausting for me, so I choose which battles are worth the aggravation.

Any way, it is what it is and I put up with it, so that my son doesn't stress out more than I already do. He's 15 and will soon be able to make his own decisions and I'm betting he'll choose me.

Boy, did I luck out with my Radius. After Bill replaces the screen, I'll end up having paid no more than $125 for it.

There's been a noticeable drop-off in ProVaris for sale on ebay, by the way. The latest listing--after days of inaction--is by an optimistic soul in Portugal who is asking $249 plus shipping for a used mini. I could get a new one from Central Iowa Vapors for $107.95, shipped, for crying out loud.

This is the kind of thing that makes me glad I'm a spinster.

    Good luck, @DebbieNY.

Good morning random folks :) Have you any plans today? My plan is to try to make sure I have everything packed. My plan is to unpack everything for one last time and make sure I have everything I want to take. We leave for Tenn tomorrow afternoon around 3 when the 8 year old gets out of school. We won’t get there til sometime Thurs morning. It about a 15 hour trip.
I'm going to transfer a liter of nic into glass and freezer, and do some basic mixing.
I need to make a 500ml bottle of Rainbow Candy for a friend, and I have sfts of FA Vanilla Bourbon and FA Meringue.
Going to have a serious talk with the friend about buying a liter or two of nic for himself and storing it, because if there were a ban on nic I don't want to use my stash making nic liquid for others... I mean I WANT to but that's not wise for me.

I'm speaking only for myself. Surely there are those who like that stuff and I certainly don't think my opinion exceeds anyone else. As long as wifey is happy with it is all that matters. I've been spoiled with NETs since I began vaping. NETs vs the bottled stuff from the juice vendors is like eating a homemade bundt cake vs a twinkie (with the wrapper still on). Just me though.

    Was she texting?
No, just very elderly(must have been at least mid 80s or older), confused about the blinking red light, I guess. It flashes yellow going one way(the way I was going), which is an equivalent of a green light. She just went for it, no slow down. I couldn't see her because of a building on a corner. By the time I saw her, it was too late. Still can't believe that happened and she came out unscathed.

Has to be a tough call when you get to be that age. Many do not belong on the road. I understand it is hard to give up driving as a freedom (or a necessity). But putting yourself and others at risk is just not right.

Yeah, he's a DL vapor and get a 500 from me about once a month. I have tried to convince him to just start making it himself, all he ever vapes is skittles. I use FW rainbow candy at 10%, max VG, 3mg, and he's very satisfied with it. About as easy a mix as you can make. But he just doesn't want to...

I think my grandmother was about 85 when she finally gave up driving, but it was because she was getting really frail, eventually had problems holding her head up. But she was sharp as a tack until the end. What a woman. R.I.P. Doris Jean Powell.
She quit smoking cold turkey at about age 55, but had lung issues that required her to use oxygen eventually, and always warned me to stop smoking. She was happy when I started vaping. Accepted it as better than cigarettes.

I think she likes everything basically. She's one of the lucky people who can enjoy almost any flavor, a lot of ones I really dislike, makes me question her reviews of my mixes lol. But it's easy to keep her stocked up. She still smokes a bit,and craves tobacco flavors, not ry4 caramelly, nutty vanilla flavors but real burning cig type flavors (like there is such a thing). I am getting closer to NETs to see if she is more satisfied with that than the imitations I have been making for her, but I still have no desire to try them myself. I'm a dedicated dessert vaper.

Not my cute, hot pink iStick 30w with the cool metal fishnet tank for the Nautilus, but it is very shiny... As I don't have a matching tank for my black & bronze Pico, I figured I try to find a tank to match it, so it can come out to play (shiny bronze is hard to find). Found an old Subtank Mini-C in the exact same finish, but they call it Rose Gold, for about $10... Then I saw the complete Subox kit in the same color for a little over $20... I bought both! I think that qualifies as a 'screw you'! ;) :pervy:
