I've been playing a lot with butterscotch since I started DIY. I think it's the one flavor I have wasted the most ingredients on due to a lot of terrible concoctions and having to dump them. I've tried combing different vendors butterscotch, all at different ratios with absolutely no success.

But I think I finally found the secret to a good butterscotch, and that's caramel. Sweetener also helps round everything out without making it sweet. I know that probably makes no sense, but it works. I find different (vendors) caramels give different notes to the butterscotch. So it's kind of something you want to experiment with.

Here is something I am toying with now. I think it's pretty good and it could serve as a starting point for you. It does require a minimum 3 week steep and gets better with longer aging.

Butterscotch Ripple FW 5%
Caramel Candy FW 7%
Caramel CAP or Caramel FA or Caramel Butter WF 2%
Sweetener TFA 1%
Vanilla Custard CAP 3%

The 2nd caramel I use in the mix varies but the CAP one adds a nice darker note to the butterscotch. If you can try not to substitute anything for the caramel candy FW. The butterscotch ripple is such a good flavor that I don't think it can be substituted either.
Hi, @Skeebo! I've missed you. And not just for your turtles.

Today I finally entered all of my location numbers into my flavor inventory. Then my big BCF order arrived. Now I've got to assign numbers, label bottles, and input everything into the inventories on my computer, ELR, and AtF. That will be a chore for another day.

Thinking of a recipe involving grapefruit, absinthe/anise, and mint (probably spearmint). And maybe rum. We'll see.

I’m just sitting on the couch. So glad this work week is over. It was a long brutal one for me. Vaping my strawberry biscuit. I bought my mom a minifit and pods. She still smokes. I told her tonight about the strawberry biscuit so that’s what I’m gonna start her on in her pods. I hope she will start vaping. She has a horrible cough and probably has copd after a lifetime of smoking. She will be 80 in December.

Fingers crossed that you can get your Mom vaping. Is she willing to give it a good try? I think the Minifit was a good choice. It vapes so good and is so tiny. Hoping she likes the Strawberry Biscuit as well:):)
