Well, I've been toking on this Double Chocolate Clear/Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (TFA) DFT for a little while. Again, my purpose is to see if the vanilla brightens up the chocolate any. Of the three vanillas I tried (Vanilla Bean-FLV, Vanilla Swirl-TFA, and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream-TFA), I think this Vanilla Bean Ice Cream is the best. The Vanilla Swirl wasn't too bad either but I think that one washed out the chocolate a little more than this Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. I think I may be using "washed out" as another way to say "creamier" (as Fran alluded). I'm using the VBIC at 1%. I would consider that the upper limit of where I'd like it. Might be able to get away with a little less.
The Double Chocolate Clear is my favorite chocolate. But it is a little on the flat side. And as others have mentioned, a little vanilla might liven it up a bit. And y'all are correct. It surely does not need much. The Vanilla Swirl worked good but it did leave a bit more cream than I would prefer. The Vanilla Bean Ice Cream worked a little better for what I'm trying to achieve. Good flavor! My arsenal continues to grow.
Doesn't mean I like doing SFTs or DFTs but admittedly, they are VERY useful. That makes them tolerable.
