Several contributions there. The Ol' Crowd (Luce, Mann, Scarf, GT, Carbon Thief,Johnny, etc) just don't come around anymore. Used to be the Natural Tobaccos thread rolled right along every night.
Back when you and I started, it seemed like most people into vaping were older people desperate to get off the Tobacco. We could chat with our Vendors online, here at the ECF or over the phone. vaping at 8 to 12 Watts was the norm, some went as low as 4 or 5 Watts, Nowadays... much younger crowd, pushing 50 to 80 Watts, buying cheap gear from countries that don't speak the same language.
And the Vendors have changed. Used to be you could find out exactly what was in e-liquids (maybe not the exact ratios, but at least the ingredients). Now everything has weird names, coming from who knows where.
Halo and Highbrow are still around, but I always thought they were synthetic. Ahlusion is reportedly synthetic tobaccos now. MyVapeJuice has closed for several years now. Does anyone really know if they are actually buying Tobacco flavors or synthetic substitutes anymore ? HHV is holding on, but the old guard is fading.
That's why I am satisfied with DIY Tobacco extractions. Yea, there have been some failures along the way, but I am still vaping quality real tobacco flavors.
Remember Shatner? Sadly, he passed away a few years ago.

Didn't he have a brown dog face for an avatar ?

(we are regressing into old fart remember-ism here, buddy)
Yeah. He did glass blowing as a hobby. Good guy.

Not doing remember-ism. Just thought that would be something you might want to know.

I followed the NET thread like a hawk. I was in love with NETs back then.... Good God did I score on the last bit of River Botton Fog Sauce available, and I mean all of the flavors they had too. The lady who ran My Vape Juice was a blessiing as well. I mailed about $200 of my last NETs to a guy in Australia.

Lots of things have changed over the years. Remember those beautiful blown glass Carto tanks? Modding used to be huge, now it's become a rare thing. The ability to purchase a wide variety of goods and products, at prices cheaper than it costs to make them yourself, and an increase in quality across the board led to this. Used to be most equipment you could buy from Chinese manufacturers was not very good. They really improved things, and that is a good thing. Many vapers might never have switched from smoking because of the lack of affordable, quality, easily accessible vapor products. The bad part of that is the modding side suffered. Not sure if that's what happened to NETs or not, but stands to reason that the wide spread availability of higher quality e-liquids might have something to do with it.

My thought on the cost was it was still oodles cheaper than cigarettes.

I report! My first day of 5:45 am yoga! Yeah, I am not catching up, (on the thread) nor am I on my vertical climbing machine. That is gonna have to wait a few weeks.

I will say, I had a MASSIVE temper tantrum the night before and accused my husband of horrible things, but I was expecting it. He SHOULDA been. LOL.

I figured out my hip thing, my latest round of yoga toes are too effective. Yoga toes put you in alignment by not letting you grip with your toes. But my latest pair, well they are medical grade silicone and that is SLIPPERY. I figured I out sort of by deduction where I sort of organized events and yep, my thigh only NOT hurting DURING yoga, and I was like, "I can maybe use these twice a week, or something."

EVERYTHING hurt this morning. When I sat down and crossed my legs, my whole pelvic floor emitted a very like, "Something horrible is stuck in some machine" sort of noise.;

I mean, it got better after 15 minutes, but almost everything exercise gets better after the first 15 minutes, dude.

I swear. My doc needs Adderall man. He did it wrong or I got the wrong instructions IDK.

I sent him a long email of instructions that stated, "I don't abuse this stuff, it is HARD to get the ONLY time I want MORE Adderall is when like I have to be on the phone with my insurance company about Adderall. IT SUCKS.

Hope it's fixed by tomorrow. In whatever fashion. I don't want to have to drive to his house on the weekend, that disqualifies you as a patient I think.

OMG. So tired. Hungry. Soon.

But, I am a "flexible" spouse. Heh.

It is cheaper than cigarettes. Even if it weren't, making NETs isn't just about cost. It's about enjoying the process, the people that enjoy something you made by hand, and being more self-reliant. Plus, if their done right, they taste better than artificial tobacco flavors could ever hope to. I still want to make NETs, and the guides/info by the people who have experimented/documented their experiences are a great resource. All of those views on the NET threads means I'm not the only one out there interested like this. It might be that the popularity of NETs just hasn't peaked yet, only time will tell.

I will make my own nets out of self reliance (as you raise) more than any other reason. Relying on these single owner operations for our vape supplies is precarious.

    Somewhere between here and there
I don't know that it'll be that often. She's moving back to the same town where she went to college and will be working and is also signed up for an acting class so I don't know how much time she'll have to visit home. We can go there too but it's kind of a pain between hotel, food, and sending the dog to the kennel.

I know. She has been working a job while at home that she didn't like just to make money but did work an internship with a local theater that she did like. She's going to be happier there between being with her boyfriend and having some of her friends from college still there. She is actually moving two days earlier than planned because a couple of her acting friends are moving to LA and they are having a get together tonight before they leave. My daughter is going to stay there until the boyfriend's lease runs out in August and then most likely move somewhere that she can better pursue her acting career.

My youngest will be home for another week before she heads back to college. However, she spends a lot of time doing facetime with her friends and boyfriend so we don't spend a lot of time together in the evening after I get home. I know I'll miss the kids but in a way I'm looking forward to my wife and I being able to spend time by ourselves and do some things together.
