Gd's water broke. Will be headed to hosp just as soon as SIL and gs get here.
Prayers that all goes smoothly. Keep us updated please.

Chefs order came this morning. Of course, 3 of the recipes I had pulled last week had to wait for it to arrive. I was almost out of custard prem. Refilled that x2 , and got some new stuff to try. Including the tfa vanilla custard ll. I’ll make a sft of that (really! I promise I mean to lol!!!)

There a lot of different custards and custard recipes out there.
Well, the only part I disliked was the custard. And it was a fairly strong dislike. I used Vanilla Custard CAP. I think I have another custard to try. It will need to be a pretty big departure from that CAP if I’m gonna like it. But I’ll try.

I don't much care for custards, either.

Hello DIYers! I hope all is well. I was able to mix up that Peppermint Snowfall yesterday and it smells delicious. I can’t wait to try it but I’ll give it a few days to steep.
I’m wondering if most of you mix with a pre-mixed base or if you add the nic each time? And if you do mix with a base, do you let it steep before using? I like to try to keep pre-mixed base on hand but yesterday I discovered I was out of base. While I was mixing more I thought to ask you if mixers typically let it steep before using? I just mixed it with my mini electric mixer and then shook the bottle a bunch and proceeded to make my recipe, but it got me wondering about what others do.

I made a Killer Kustard clone and I hadn’t vaped custard in years and it made me feel a little nauseous at first. After vaping it a while I can manage it. I like to use small amounts of custards in recipes. But too much just makes me feel sick.

I add the nic each time. But I use 50/50 nic/vg mixture to get it to 50 mg/ml. I don’t like handling 100 mg/ml. If the flavoring percentage changes and you use a premade base, wouldn’t that change the final nic content? Unless you used the same % of flavorings each time. I’m also a non steeper of everything. But lately I have been warming my juice in warm water after mixing to do a mini steep.

    Somewhere between here and there
I just mix and shake my base. No steeping. I use base mostly for sft and sample recipes since the nic content isn’t that important. I mix my base at 15mg which lets me get close to 12 mg final with flavors added.

Yeah, nauseating is the right description.

I didn’t take into consideration that I’m diluting my base with the flavors. I think I’ll bump up my base a couple milligrams to compensate.

I mix my nic, PG and Vg in large quantities, to a level just higher than my final nic, just lower on the PG and just higher on the VG. When I add flavors, they're usually in PG, so it raises that and lowers the nic, both by just a little. If I'm out of that when mixing flavors, I just mix a bunch and go on with my flavors, sealing the rest away for the next session.

Never noticed a difference using that fresh mix or using what's already aged, I just steep (or don't) my mixes in the usual fashion and time :)

I target about 18 mg/ml and 65PG, so my "stock" gets mixed at 20 mg and 60PG, gets me close enough :)

I guess I am one of the odd balls then, I have three devises in front of me right now, and all have a recipe with Cap Vanilla Custard in them. One of them has (I Think) 10 % in it, I vape these all day. :?:

I never really got in to custard but as long as YOU like it and you’re not smoking, that’s all that matters. I just never made a custard that I loved and never tried custards the couple of times I’ve gone to a vape shop for taste testing as I was looking for a specific flavor profile (and it wasn’t custard).

One reason I’ve been warming my juice is because when I mix a 100 ml bottle I only use 4 ml of 50 mg/ml nic since I vape 2 mg mixes. It’s hard to incorporate that tiny amount of nic in 100 ml and 90% vg. That vg is thick so warming it thins it out so I can shake it up better.

I have had the stuff on hand for a long time, and like you never found one that I liked. Then around a year ago, I tried "Game Over Custard" and I have been using it ever sense, along with a few others. :|
