Since I have not done sfts on my apricots I cannot tell you the differences between FA and TFA. I just bought two brands and divided them equally in the recipe and it worked. And as the cliche' goes...leave well enuf alone.

Just remember your total fruit content is your regulator for smoke, dryness, and sweetness. Add/subtract to your tastes. If you start with the 0.25% FA + 0.25% TFA as in my recipe you can always add which is easier than subtracting. But give the 0.25 + 0.25 a chance to work...like a couple mls before passing judgement. Truthfully, I think I could get away with using less and I'm guessing someone like Dawg could too.

    I’m sure there’s a difference between them. I’ll just wait til I have both.No hurry

    I found my Samoa cookie recipe, I use drops but you can figure percents too.
    It is heavy on Cookie, then 1/4 amounts of the other flavors to how much Cookie you use.
    1 part Cookie
    1/4 part Caramel
    1/4 part Cocoa or Chocolate
    1/4 part Coconut
    1 drop sweetener if desired

    I use FlavourArt but you can try any brand of flavors. I like my homemade version better than Real Flavors and I use FlavourArt Cocoa for the chocolate:)

    Wow, that SM Dark Fire is really different. Just mixed small samples of Dark fire, and one of the Aged Burley. Tasted a drop of each one on my hand, and could tell DF was really a full flavor. Couldn't wait, so I put a couple drops on the coil of my rta that had A+ in it. Man, this stuff is so rich and full it's crazy. But oddly, it kind of smoothed out the flavor of the A+ - it's not harsh at all. Less smokey than I thought it'd be, but it's there. Way less than using DNB, though.

    I could see adding a little of this to just about any of my tobaccos. Super good mouth feel and depth, like an expensive dark chocolate/coffee or something. @Bronze, I can see why you thought to mix it with apricot, to bring some higher notes to it- DF is all deep bass. That might be good.

    I got out two ammit rdas to sample my two blackberry mixes. Both have identical coils. Each has 3% blackberry jam w/toast and one has tfa blackberry and one has cap. The tfa is much more flavorful. Evidently the cap is weak and requires much more than 2%. I did use 3% on the tfa. It tastes much better.

    Dark Fire is a good way to get your tobacco fix. :)

    @Bronze how's your mixing been coming along? IIRC, a few months ago you were getting frustrated with failures..
    Been scoring a few. I can’t say I was frustrated so much. I knew it would be slow and that hasn’t been disappointing. :)

    I am much less experienced that most of you, but at least I know to do a SFT of every flavor first. They may work well together but you will never know why (or which one you actually like better) I have been adding cookie and graham to other mixes and realized I have not actually tried them on their own (they are steeping as we speak)

    There are plenty of experienced mixers that haven’t done sft’s of every single flavor, including me.
