The toilet paper craze has hit here already. My father in law called my wife and said he went to Walmart and they were sold out. I heard from someone that Sams club was sold out too. How many 36 roll packs of TP does one person need?

That's true but mixing your own is cheaper which is really the point of DIY. I didn't try a lot of one-shots, 4 I think. The Rhubarb Custard was the only one I liked too.
I well remember other so-called shortages. I was bright and early in one of our bigger grocery stores one morning and caught them taking peanut butter off the shelves,. Shortage my azzzz.
I buy those gargantuan packages of TP from the warehouse store. I'll be shooting squirrels and picking berries before I run out of TP.
No shortages here, yet. Gave me flashbacks to the days of petrol shortages. Waiting in line on even numbered days for gas....what a nightmare.
It was just a few years back there was a water crisis down here. You couldn't even wash your hands with tap water, let alone drink it. It was probably about a 100 mile radius that all the water in every store promptly vanished. Effing hoarders. After experiencing that, I always make sure we have bottled water in gallon jugs. Speaking of hoarding.. I'm very glad of my nicotine hoard

There are several articles written about why people are hoarding the tp. Reasons are finding control when they feel out of control, doing what others are doing, it's a basic need. I started out stockpiling for us and my parents thinking we could easily be quarantined for two weeks or more. Two weeks is a long time when you have a 20 year old son. Do you know how much that boy EATS? So I then thought if I'm quarantined for two weeks then he's quarantined for two weeks it becomes a month...you can see how it grew for me. Then I also have to think about my parents. I stocked for them because I do not want them out of their house for a long time until this goes away...if it ever goes away. Coronavirus would kill them. My boss told me today that our business is more than likely going to close soon so we can work at home. I'm going to be stocking more stuff this evening. I am not ashamed of it either. I am the sole person taking care of a lot of people...gotta git 'r done man. I'll do a lot for my family to ensure their safety and to ensure their bellies are full and their butts are wiped. There are people here downplaying the coronavirus and judging others. Those are the ones that will not be ready. My family will have what they need.

Part of it too is that I COULD see panic in my Mom's eyes. Me stocking for her and thinking ahead for her and doing all the work made her calm down a lot.
I don't know how parents can afford to feed their kids. Especially boys. The amount of food they consume is alarming. I guess I was that way too when I was 20.
The thing is when we were 20, we could burn all those calories. Now not so much. I've really noticed a down turn in my metabolism just over the last 1-2 years.
Thank you! I may play with it later, maybe use Fran’s milkshake base with your coconut recommendations. I think it’s a fuller version of milkshake.
