I’ve about finished the stragglers from last month. I must have mixed more than usual. Ready to get to the new bottles and mix for next month.
Is it possible to be coconut blind? I made a coconut ice cream recipe, small tester as I was pretty sure I wasn’t going to like it. (I wanted to try, I said the same thing about cheesecake, and we know how that turned out!) It has coconut candy and coconut in it. I taste none. Which may not be bad, since it’s an unknown vape flavor to me. People have such strong feelings about it, I was surprised it has zero taste.

Which brand of coconut flavoring did you use? Some are MUCH better than others, IMHO.

yo. novice mixer here. i seem to be having trouble with flavorah toasted butterscotch. mix it low, can't taste it, mix it high, tastes chemically. mixed by itself at 5%, no butterscotch at all. is it old or just crap to begin with?

Just looked it up... seems that 3% is the practical limit (they mentioned a "cardboard" taste) They suggest adding a cream to it... hope that helps.
P.S. put the @ before my name so I know you mentioned me ;)

It’s not so strange. I have 3-4 flavors I can’t taste and I’ve tried several brands.

We are doing a business continuation and response plan at work so we can all work from home if our business shuts down for Coronavirus. I had to setup a vpn to get into an important program that I run from work servers. It’s very important my job gets done. Not sure what they’ll do if I get the virus and am hospitalized since I have no backup. I was clueless with very minimal instructions on how to do this. My son knew what to do. Thank goodness for Generation Z kids.

Of course, I “mis-remembered” what was in it. It’s by Daz Cole.

    Caramel (Caramello) (FA) 1.25%
    Coconut (Coco, Cocco) (FA) 1%
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (TPA) 4%

It’s actually a trade. I offered to buy a tank but they wanted me to mix some stuff for them so I did. However, if someone asked, I’d do it for free if they couldn’t or just wanted to try some samples.

He is a good mixer. My personal experience with coconut flavors is somewhat limited but have found that FA Coconut is a realistic and not sweet flavor. It needs another coconut, IMO, to make a well-balanced coconut flavor. That recipe doesn't look like it would give you much coconut flavor so maybe it isn't you. I would use the FA Coconut at 2% and add 1.5% FLV Sweet Coconut or even TFA Coconut Candy at 1% to round out the flavor. I don't think you would get much coconut flavor from 1% of the FA alone.

Good morning mixers. I got the two bottles of rhubarb custard from chefs yesterday. It was a pretty good deal with the sale. I really need to start digging out the old mixes I have in my cabinet and either start using them or toss them and recover the bottles.

The lazy bottles of Rhubarb Custard tempted me for a minute. Just too easy to mix my own.
