Soooo much pollen on the porch! All that’s left is to run the shop vac over the floor.
Trying to decide if I should wait until the dregs in a couple current bottles are gone, or treat myself to something from the steep box. I need to dig through it and see what I need to replace of the long steepers so I don’t get caught shorthanded

"I crush your head!"
That was funny! I needed that. Years ago, I would pretend I had super mental powers and if I concentrated hard enough I could make someone's head explode... it never worked but was a fun mental game (I'm older and mellowed out now... got over those unhealthy thoughts)

That's what I've heard. Just reaching your time changes you and everything gets better. I've thought about retiring on time and finding another job like some people do. But there is a lot to be said for being comfortable in your current job. It exhausts me to think about starting over somewhere else. I do work hard but I get to leave most days on time. I know what to do. I know what to expect. I enjoy my job. Good benefits. There are more pluses than minuses. I'm ready for the fun part though!!! :)

Quite so. And ideal being comfy there AND knowing that if the work environment goes south, you can go west :)

I thought I would continue even when eligible for retirement but...I got a new boss that was hellish beyond words and I couldn't take it so I retired. So glad I did.

Indeed, the boss can make a huge difference!

I had to good fortune to have a good one, for about the last 10 years.

But, as a power plant electrician, working (too) often on voltages from 480 to 110,000, I got to the point of wondering when my luck would run out... I'd always joked that a good electrician only touches live wires at the "zero crossing point" where there's actually zero voltage. Of course, you have to be quick, as you get one millisecond every 8 milliseconds... and, well, I was getting older and slower ;)

I threw in the towel on Honduran Blueberry. Not going to waste any more time on it. Bottom line is I'm not a big blueberry fan. At least not the blueberry flavors I'm using and it's just not that important to me to go on. The Bilberry I added helped but not enough. It's too floral for me. If you like floral then this would be a very good recipe for you.

Honduran Blueberry

Honduran Ligero (Stixx Mixx) 8%
Blueberry (FW) 5%
Bilberry (FA) 1%

Are you getting floral from the FW Blueberry? I've never gotten floral from the Bilberry.

Not sure. I also tried the TFA version and that was wimpy. I don't recall any floral when I tried them on their own. Perhaps the combination of all the flavors.

I discovered blueberry isn't for me. Heather makes an incredible Blueberry Muffin that was as genuine as it gets. Fantastic flavor (Pop can vouch for it). But I'm no Heather.
It's not for me either unless helped by a generous dose of bilberry. I will usually just pick a better fruit to mix with.

I was a Power Plant electrician also, when I hired on it was Bethlehem Steel, I forget what it was when I retired. Worked from 1964 until 2012, 48 years of service and 66 years old.

BCF order delivered and put into ELR. Maybe tomorrow I can find the recipes that inspired them. @hittman , what are you planning on using waffle in?

I think it’s a Julia Su recipe called The Waffle. I made a sample using tfa and it’s pretty sweet. I can’t decide if I like it or not. I’m going to try it with the Flv and again when I get the ccw with my chefs order. The original called for ccw.

Like I said, I used tfa but used the same percentage as the original.
