That makes not sad I had to leave my house. I would have way too much to do and too damn old to do it.
Cant like that one. I know it sneaks up on you tho.thats why i am trying to get my ducks in order as quick as i can. The saying that goes ' if you dont use it -- you lose it' means a whole lot more these days. Being shut in certainly does not help with physical ability. Like stairs. I have to come up 2 flights here in wv and even a few days of not doing that and i can tell the difference. So now i have added walks around my property now. Nearest neighbors are about a quarter mile away so there is no other possible contact other than with tenants. And i am so tired of going thru all the stuff i have managed to accumulate over the years and figuring out what to keep, give away, donate or just throw away. My piles are just getting bigger with no where to take them yet.
Plus manage the property. This certainly isnt the time to have to shut off our well pump but had to twice this month. Pressure tank valve went bad twice. Had to have water so call the plumber. So much for no contact. And no water. None of the plumbers wore masks or gloves so i provided them. I am sure they were not happy about it either. But being in the high risk category not only because of age but high bp plus. Ugh. Sry i know way too much info.

I was lucky. I had dd and gd there helping me go through everything and I threw out tons. I had 2 friends that took the stuff away for me. Some stuff I didn’t want to toss I put in 3 big totes and my gd is keeping those for me. It was too much to bring here and nothing I need now,

Oh they are. Lol. They send pics to show progress but its still not quite the same. :)
Is a good thing they are doing though. Do you intend to sell your home and move when it’s safer to do so?

Thats the plan. But who knows when it will happen now with the country in such a mess. The lady i had that would manage the property when i was gone died in Jan. Her husband still does general maintenance but hes no manager. So i figure its time to let it go.

I found a site that claims those getting SSI dot no have to worry about the stimulus check being taken away from them through the SSA reducing subsequent SSI checks. No need to even report it.

I don't know how reliable that site is, but it's the only info I have found on how/if SSI will be affected by the stimulus checks.

    Quote:
For SSI eligibility purposes, the stimulus check won't count as income to you, and you don't need to report it as income to the Social Security Administration. Plus, it's not taxable. In addition, the stimulus money won't count as a resource (asset) unless you still have all or part of it 12 months after receiving it.
How on earth will they be able to tell if one still has some/all of the stimulus money? I mean, you could just withdraw the money and stash the cash in your mattress.

My bad knee makes stairs slow going for me so I was thrilled dd had this small downstairs bedroom for me..
Yeah. For me its my hip. Its slows me down on the stairs having to lift up one leg and kinda pull up the other one.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I know, that's so silly. But that is how the SSA is when it comes to SSI. They have all kinds of bureaucratic rules that they can never enforce.

Like for instance, if you're on SSI and someone buys you food, you have to report that to the SSA and they will take the value of that food off a future SSI check.

Like as if anyone would ever report that or like they could ever find out.

It’s the perils of age.The physical work didn’t help much either.

Is the FLV Waffle sweet? I never heard of Flan til the flavor came out.

The Flv waffle had a hint of syrup but wasn’t really sweet to me. The first time I dripped it, I tasted waffle but after that I just got a dough or batter taste with a little syrup.

I am tasting the flan now. I wanted to see how it was snv. It’s different from anything I’ve tried before. I get something between a custard and a pudding with either a caramel or brown sugar. It is sweet at 5% but it’s delicious.

The flan sounds good but I know too sweet .The waffle I can skip also. What about the grape one?

Yes and no. Lol. I am sure age plays a role in my hip hurting to lift my leg up but it started with a torn muscle or ligament. Not sure how i did that but it happened while on the stairs and i guess i just stepped the wrong way cause. I had such a sharp pain from it. Took it forever to heal but left me with having trouble climbing stairs. Does not hurt when bending or lifting up stuff. Only other time it hurts is if i sleep on it wrong.

I was born with a knee that ached and was slightly bigger than my left knee. My Mom used to rub it when I was young. Around 10 or so it just stopped hurting. Didn’t feel it again til my 60’s. Started bothering me carrying firewood up the front steps. Then one day I was coming up the steps and heard the crunch in my knee. That was all she wrote
