First, there is an expression ; Know Your Audience. This thread is entitled "Random DIY Mixing and More", and on the ECF this means DIY Discussions, along with some personal chit-chat (and More).
Second, there is a place in the ECF where you might feel right at home. From the Opening Page, scroll down to a section entitled "Community" where you will find a sub-section called the Lounge. Open the scrool with seven links. The second link is call "OUTSIDE". I think you might be comfortable there.
And, finally, if you raise a topic or ask a question, the answer you get might not be the answer you wanted. When that happens, try to remember that YOU are the one who started the discussion in the first place.
