Good morning random folks Have you any plans today?
I am resisting unpacking anything at this point. Not like I need to mix, just a bit bored I guess.
Give you something to do?
Happy Friday, mixers.
More rain, although said to be tapering off this afternoon, before a weekend deluge. Cats may have a chance to play outside for a bit
Not sure if that's better or worse than watching the microwave...
The regular Florida cockroaches I've seen (usually in buildings) are light/medium brown, not really wide and fairly flat, are easy to kill, and they don't release a smell when "squished". The Palmetto Bug to me...is a whole 'nuther critter. It's like a roach on steroids size-wise, is much wider than a regular roach, has a very dark brown to black shiny outer covering that's more rounded/curved, is harder to kill because of the tougher covering, and releases a very pungent odor you'll never forget smelling...when squished! I've only seen them outdoors in areas where Palmetto bushes grow and/or in woodsy areas. I learned the hard way to use bug spray on them, instead of squishing and releasing that smell that even makes your shoe stink!
ETA: Sorry if the above really skeives you out, Skeebo. Just wanted to warn you about Palmetto Bugs so you never smack one of them with your hand!
You know folks are getting stir crazy when the mixing thread conversation turns to microwaves and roaches. Speaking of which, anyone ever tried microwaving a roach?
Here in Canada we do not have a problem with large sized stinky bugs. But when one of these fella’s shows up in your garden, you do not attempt to squash them, for they will squash back! (the pic is just a small one)
Darwin award nominee: Up at our cottage our neighbor thought it would be wise to keep their trash in their car overnight for delivery to the dump in the morning. Why someone would do that is beyond me! Bears tore the doors off his car to get to the trash.
We have to much rain and gloom in our forecast too. At least tomorrow will be sunny.
That is a dangerous bear. We have less dangerous bears here, the black ones. I've always loved seeing them.
You know you're paranoid when you wash your hands before getting in the shower................
Wash em again when you get out.
My DIYVaporSupply order is in NH supposedly on it's way to the local PO. I will hopefully get it soon. Kinda curious how the RF Blackberry is so I'll be doing and sft on that. As much as I hate sft's I'll probably do the INW Just Berries and FLV Red Raspberry also
The hospital is still doing rolling “mandatory vacation days” (I think that translates to we can’t afford you all, so take a day off), so Himself’s home again today under my feet. Our microwave imploded last night, but he found somewhere we can go pick one up curbside today. I have too much steeping, but I kind of want to add some basics favs. Looks like I’ll have to wait for Monday though.
Got rid of my microwave years ago. Never had any use for it. Electric kettle and stove to heat liquids, and I use an Instant Pot to reheat food which I feel tastes so much better than what a microwave does. May take a little longer, but worth the added time.
I have too much steeping and about an equal amount already steeped. I don't need to mix more now but I may end up putting a couple more recipes together. Gotta fight boredom somehow.
Dd has an electric kettle that gets used often but her InstaPot sits in a cabinet unused. No idea why. I don't think she's even tried it much.
Microwaves have a way of killing flavor (and texture).
Just made 240mL for me and 120mL for bro. I think I got this recipe from Smokyblue.
Flv bubblegum 1.2%
Flv Cotton Candy 0.4%
Flv Marshmallow Vanilla 0.4%
Flv Grape 1.0%
Great as a shake and vape.
I use 50/50 base.
