The terrifying email

1)Government employee working on weekend that is fast tracking TO INSANITY
2) Imagine getting that on day two of rehabilitation, realizing you are going to have to KEEP at I because you (ALONE) will be driving cross country after packing the car to the gills, and the husband will pack the rest to the GILLS and like really, you are doing it. And staying somewhere (perhaps you will find a friendly farmhand to give you an abode for a bit) while you are still having FEVERS although rehabilitation is going well etc.

I MEAN WHY GOD WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS. I am gong to have to essentially condense 5 months into 6 weeks. I am sure I will be better equipped for this by then but STILL. Oh well guess you never feel ready, exactly,

I know I can negotiate a start date but if everyone would CHILLLL it would help me chill.

Also, I don't want to hear any guff about like motels being safer. The kind I rent usually aren't they are stuffed to the gills with people I can AVOID when finding a great parking area near a road.

Also, I'm a good judge of character so a farmhand would be just fine. I have never been date raped drugged (Heh, like it was ever necessary) and I am not starting now. I just mean I will sleep in blissful car peace and like stop at a truck stop shower ever while I guess. ALSO more dangerous than sleeping in your car I bet.

I will tell my mom I will stay in hotels (maybe the husband too) but that is so do they don't commit me. I have done this my whole life, I was a free spirited hippie, and it's just a matter of assessing your surroundings and research and you are totally FINE.

I don't hitch hike as a rule but I would have too much stuff anyway and you have to draw the line somewhere. Usually you are most at risk of a ticket from a cop if he finds you and he lectures you about safety and you are like, "Uh huh can I take a look at your taser/gun it looks interesting."

I kid sort of. MOSTLY I AM APPALLED. OMG

Anna
Can you not explain to your future bosses that you've been ill for weeks and are still ill and that you need first to recover and than to convalesce for a while before you can move, much less start working?

Eh there's always tons popping up and Zillow is pretty lame compared to like a real estate agent who knows the area. The husband can check things out but usually the mortgage company wants you to get a home inspector and whatnot. Yeah some are very old. There was this PEBBLY stone one that was too cool but it was built in the 1950s. It was just fun looking for now./

Just keep looking. It’s fun and not hurting anything.

I got the mowing and trimming done here and am not planning on doing much the rest of the day. I dig get several tanks cleaned and put away some mods that weren’t getting much use.
Sounds like you got a lot done to me.

So there is cheap, and there is cheap. Imagine buying one of those suckers in Potomac. It would be millions of dollars if you could even FIND one. Etc.

Quite right about local realtors knowing more. One thing I did notice on the ones you linked, a couple had been listed for a long time. Sometimes, those are open to lower bids...

I swept up leaves and stuff outside on the driveway. They tend to pile up around the hose reel and corners. I also started spraying my big brick driveway walls with my bleach/dawn solution like I did the siding and it didn’t work real well on the black stuff so I pulled out the pressure washer. I only got like a third of it done. I had stuff splattered down all over me. I’m clean now. Kinda headachy.

We just finished filling out the apartment lease application for my youngest daughter who will be returning to college in August. The rent is more than I wanted to pay but it’s the only place we could find that places you in a three bedroom unit without already having roommates. The girl she was going to have an apartment with backed out on her. Even though it’s more than we wanted to spend, it’s still less than half of room and board in the dorm. This place caters to college students and is right next to the campus.

The apartment is fully furnished and there’s a pool, weight room, and sand volleyball court. It’s basically just apartments for college students. Each of the three has their own bedroom and bathroom and share the kitchen, living room and washer and dryer.
