Saving for the next car repair??

The oldest is on her own from here on out in that department. We paid for this last one because it was something we knew about but never got around to getting done.

Even better. When she comes to you for help you go, "I'm sorry I was lying or preserving the Christmas spirit."

    I am kidding/evil-- both?

IDK give her a Christmas ham I used to get one of those from an employer and while I was not exactly UNappreciative, a bonus would have been nicer.

There you go! Promise her a "bonus" if she "lives up to your standards.

I MUST GO TO BED NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4 am is EVIL.

So good luck but you have to make the change............ Just sayin'

    Anna

First, Thank you, for your concern and I really do appreciate your suggestions, especially given your personal experiences.

However, as a FYI - I am very lucky, I do have an exceptional GP (Who is quite experienced & a specialist) who worked with me to maintain my A1c below 7 & my general overall health for the past 11 years.

As well as a very good Endocrinologist, who I started seeing when my A1c went up to 9.6, because of a leg infection (only started insulin approximately 6 - 8 months ago).

Thankfully, I am still Type 2 diabetic (A1c 8.3), just need to get my daily numbers down.

BTW: As a "retired" LSW - I am very much an advocate, especially when it comes to my health - as I have for others for years too, particularly as a counselor in "HBMT" . . . Just Sayin' . . . :D

Once one reaches 18 (kids and grand kids) their present goes from $100 down to $50. In my family.
I have 4 kids, 11 grands and 8 great-grands. I do not buy for them all. For the 9 young ones we pick names.

Good morning mixers. Since I was off on Friday, I came back to a pile of stuff on my desk and bench to catch up on. I'm less than excited to be back at work but the bills aren't going to pay themselves.

Nothing to do with DIY, but I found the following interesting since many of us have the Aegis Mini. Got an email from GeekVape, and in the section about the Aegis Mini with Cerberus Kit, they show someone's hand holding it (as if using it), while it's plugged in charging. Says this about it:

    "2A Fast Charge
2200mAh built-in power with passthrough charging function for simplicity and convenience, powered with 2A fast charging, which can charge up to 80% in just 30 minutes."
I've never seen GV mention/suggest passthrough charging before as a selling point, like Innokin has for many of their mods. So, it sounds like it is OK afterall...to do it with the Aegis Mini.

We got the youngest a printer for college but wouldn’t really call it a gift.

Well - Personally, if someone purchased an item for "Me" to have, especially when there are no expectations for something in return - then it is a gift . . . Just Sayin' . . .

That is my opinion also though I'm sure there are exceptions.

If I had that many the monetary amount would go down. One daughter, two grand kids here

OKAY - I've mention this before in another thread a few years ago. . . I'm not a parent, at least as far as I know and at this stage of the game - not so sure I want to know either . . . However, I do have so far - over 32 nieces/nephews - great nieces/nephews - great-great nieces /nephews - 3x's great nieces/nephew . . . And - I am not so sure if there have been anymore since the last count- well during the past 10+ years - haven't checked nor heard, but given their proclivity there maybe another few around. . . . .

SO NO GIFTS - Can't afford to send anything, but an Old Poor Uncle's "Love" . . . Just Sayin' . . .
