The flavor in my Sceptre has been rather blah due to my own lazy bone. I finally changed the coil this morning and I'm back to yummy.

Guess I'm lucky - and don't want to press it either, especially given everything else going on - however haven't change the original coil in the Sceptre yet . . . Then again, I'm using unflavored NIC . . .

Hiya mixers!

I have never had a smoothie in my life. I'd rather eat it. I also stay away from fruit when I'm losing weight...unless I have a little bit right before working out. I've been working out every evening, helping my son with school, working on my cardio playlist, meal prepping, doing some house projects, and work of course.

I hope to get my vapetasia ejuices either today or tomorrow. I can't wait to try them.

I got some great news yesterday:rolleyes:. I went to refill my "staying alive" medicine and was told a 30 day supply will cost me $740 going forward. Seems the Gilead copay assistance card can no longer be used because I "have used up my allotment for a lifetime". They released this drug in 2015 and told me at the time that the copay assistance card was for a lifetime.

If I had known otherwise I would have never switched to this "less toxic" medicine.

It's odd, this medicine costs $20 in Africa, $32 in Australia, and $4000 here in America. I have an appointment to see a specialist on the 13th but will have to go without medicine till then. I'll definitely have to switch to an older medicine I've used in the past that has some side effects I don't really care for... Oh well. There is nothing I can do about it.

Luckily the old medicine's patent ran out just this year, so generic is finally available. Gilead tried to unsuccessfully extend this patent as it expired but that representative known as AOC helped lobby to get it shot down.

Life goes on... I can do without the slap in the face though.

That is expensive. Holy crapola! I have read that many folks have filled their scripts in Mexico. Have you tried using "goodrx"?

Have you checked Canadian prices for it? I get my Synthroid from there and have been for more than 10 years. Even with insurance here in the US...I still pay less than my co-pay would be for it...by paying 100% of the cost out of pocket from Canada. My mother's Premarin was less than 1/3 from Canada for a year's supply, compared to here in the US.

PM me if you're interested in who to check with, for the price on your med, through the company I always place my orders with. I've even got a 10% off coupon code you could use for your first order. By the way, the Rx is always filled by a regular pharmacy in Canada...just as it would be here in the US. I just have my Endochronologist fax the prescription to them.

I did check with GoodRx, it's a tad over $3000. My insurance covers $2300 of the cost at the pharmacy. I've given up hope of staying on the newer medicine, there is just no way I will be able to afford it.

I did, a lot of my fellow Hi Fivers as we like to call ourselves go that route. Problem is this new medicine is higher than my copay there as well, $1479.31.

I'd like your opinions
so I have a recipe site running, a work in progress, nothing sophisticated like elr but it works more or less
(sorry not sharing link as per ecf's rules but just want your opinions)
do you think that in a recipe it is necessary to list
amount to make, nic base info, pg/vg %, target nic mg?
Or should it just be the flavorings and %

so for example how it is now, which to me seems to be overkill...I don't think all the other stuff is really needed other than the flavorings

I don't think your "Juice Info" is needed as everyone's will be different.

I did jokingly mention to my wife last night that we should just move to Canada. At least healthcare there does not have that capitalistic nature the US allows.

I do appreciate the advice... I'll just have to go back to my old medicine. It only causes me not to be able to absorb calcium and vitamin D, along with severe diverticulitis.. I guess I should say diverticulosis since it becomes a condition for me lol. At least my immune system stays intact though.

It's okay, just wish they gave me a heads up about it. I hate going without my medicine especially when this little thing called Covid is swimming through the air. Having a 13 year old in public school makes things a tad chancey.

thanks, that's what I was thinking...I think the ocd in me thought it was a good idea at the time but now that I really look at it....doesn't seem necessary...figured it's better to get other's opinions :)

haven't found a good recipe script so repurposing one of my directory scripts

You could call the pharmaceutical company and ask if they will extend the offering. Slim chance but it doesn't hurt to try. American prices on medications are horrible. I take a med that was developed in the 50s and it's expensive. Luckily, I used goodRX and my doctor over prescribed the amount (she knows I'm a nurse and will follow the "real directions")

For any of you that are familiar with TFA Banana Nut Bread, do you all think something like Vanilla Swirl or Bavarian Cream would go well with it? I want to try out the Banana Nut Bread, but didn't want to just try it by itself.

When I first started DIY I used it solo for a long time. It was the only TFA flavor where that worked for me. Later I added sweet cream and vanilla. Can't remember the details, that recipe is long gone.

I've read that it works pretty well by itself, but I wanted to add just a bit of something else. I ended up adding a little Vanilla Swirl and TFA Whipped Cream.

Not only are you the "Savvy Vape Lady", we now can add the "Savvy Med Lady" to your titles - a true "Supplier" of affordable goods . . . Just Sayin . . .

I don't know about the "Savvy Med Lady" title, since I'm only familiar with the company I personally deal with in Canada. But, friends and family do blow up my phone and email inbox starting a month or 2 before Christmas...wanting deals on new Lands' End clothing and/or shoes and jewelry making supplies and/or handmade jewelry. Either of those things...I do know some "chit" about definitely. OH...also info about vintage smaller Honda motorcycles and where to get parts for them. :D

I think pretty much everyone is a Savvy ____ Lady or Savvy____ Guy, about things they're interested in or have a lot of knowledge about. With all the people on here...there's likely not much we can't get info about, or deals on, if/when they're needed.
