One of our delivery drivers has been off work sick all week and called the boss right before quitting time yesterday and said that he tested positive for Covid. I'm never around him but the boss told everyone that he would cover the cost for anyone that wanted to get tested. I have been told by a few people that places don't really want to test you if you aren't showing any symptoms. I don't know if that's true or not.
Anyone that’s been exposed can get tested.

Dd is not doing well with her shop lately and is taking up child care. Woe is me. She has 2 young ones for 5 hours today and she’s talking with another gal about watching her 2 weekly. Should be interesting seeing how she’s going to work in home schooling her own. Thank heavens for the big play room in the basement. It’s actually quiet.

Yes & No . . . In the beginning, that was the recommendation when the Covid-19 testing was first being done months ago, especially since the "Testing Kits" were extremely limited. Test were available for "First Responders", Health workers, etc. and to those people who have/had preexisting conditions COPD/Breathing Problems, Diabetes, Heart Conditions, Overweight, Older Seniors, since they were the ones being most infected. Someplaces even required you to have a doctors prescription.

Also as far as I understood it really depends on what your state policy is if you want to get a free test in the begining (an appointment is required) . Since then these Free testing sites have opened up for anyone who wants/NEED a test (now they even include children)

BTW: There are a number of places - like "Urgent Care"/Doctors Office/Fee for Service Testing sites (like LabCore) - that you can get tested for a fee (Guess that's why the "Boss" offered to pay).

Now then - as of today here is the CDC recomendation:

Who should be tested for COVID-19?

    • People who have symptoms of COVID-19
    • People who have had close contact (within 6 feet of an infected person for at least 15 minutes) with someone with confirmed COVID-19
    • People who have been asked or referred to get testing by their healthcare provider, local external icon or state health department.

    Hope this information is helpful . . . Just Sayin' . . .

BTW: Being a member of the preexisting group, I've had 5 test so far - the first 2 took over 2 weeks to get results, the others I got the results with-in a week. AND - As I understand with today's test, results can be with-in 24-72 hours.

Morning, all, happy Thor's day ;)

Rain continues, spring-like temps. Cats are not happy.

Anna, I hope they can get the land squared away quickly. I think you said that portion was still owned by the seller's dad? Hopefully the boundary re-drawing will be easy, I think that would be the toughest part. Title / ownership change is generally pretty quick and easy, but the lines will have to be changed. And, of course, covid may make getting through the registrar's office slow...

It is helpful. Thanks! I am never really around the drivers and spend most of the day in my shop by myself except for the occasional coworker coming in to get something. I don't really feel like I need to get tested since I haven't been around him but will keep a close eye on how I'm feeling.

    That’s a good idea.

I forgot to mention that I did open the bottles from the place that Shadav linked. I can't remember the name of the website. They did ship fairly quickly but never did get tracking information or order confirmation until I emailed them through paypal. They were already on the way by the time I contacted them. I thought it was kind of nice that they threw in a bag of these little funnels for filling.

It’s very hard to try new flavors if you don’t mix them. So.... I mixed Raspberry Buttermilk Yogurt and Macadamian Biscuit. Flavors I have left are VT Chocolate Custard, SSA Ice Cream and MB White Chocolate. Any ideas? Looking for simple 2-3 flavor mixes.

I'm going to mix the chocolate custard solo since folks said it was good. I might try to take a look at the flavors I received yesterday if I get time tonight.
At what % ? I may do that also since I have no better idea ATM.

I think someone mentioned testing at 5%. I was thinking I might try 6% since I usually like stuff a little stronger.
