I tried that Hazelscotch Cookie I made, the one you said was similar to Rusty Pelican. It's good but not amazing. I used CAP Hazelnut v2 in it and that is the dominant flavor, which almost has a praline nut flavor going on. I only let it rest 5 days, but made a 60ml bottle, so plenty more to steep longer. We'll see what it does.

Yeah I wanted to mention when it comes to hazelnut the one to have is the Flavor West brand. It oddly adds a creaminess to mixes and at low percentages does solely just that without the hazelnut flavor. Every now and then I get this strange niceness to my personality so I didn't have the heart to shoot down your hazelnut Capella. On the plus side, Hazelnut CAP v2 is better for you. I think the Flavor West brand has the nasties that everyone tries to avoid.

Same here, Hitt, heard of but not tried. Patience is a virtue, they say, so I'm glad to have at least one ;)

Body heat shouldn't adversely affect the flavors, high heat might well. And in, say, a shirt pocket (you probably don't want to sit on it!), might also benefit from the frequent agitation. But some things do just take time.

Or even our regular nic. Isn't the absence of many alkyloids why some have problems making the change, or use NETs?

I know our standard liquids and nets also don't contain the minor alkaloids from tobacco. That is how the whole WTA thing got started by DVAP. He is a chemist and was the first as far as I know to do an extraction to isolate the minor alkaloids from tobacco. I was one of his testers when he first did it.

Aaah. I haven't used the FW version before. Stuck with CAP and FA Hazel Grove, which are very nutty.
I mix it up with the diketones, I use some pretty bad ones but I try to mix them at low percentages and or use the diketone free stuff. I do go through a lot of liquid so try to be a little conscious of that.

    Cap. Hazelnut is my fav.
I like CAP Hazelnut quite a bit too, but like the FA Hazel Grove more. Frequently I mix them together. The FA has an earthier flavor, sometimes too strong by itself. Adding CAP Hazelnut rounds it out very nicely.

I love Hazelnut. I’ll have to consider getting the FA to mix with cap. I have several FA nut flavors but not that one.

I always put my mixes in a hot water bath for about 30 minutes. It helps to shake them and distribute everything together since I'm high VG and low nic. My ex-boyfriend had a fancy schmancy heated ultrasonic cleaner contraption that he put our mixes in for a couple of hours to heat and agitate and they turned out great. I'm short on time and can never get ahead on mixing, and steeping doesn't do much for my taste buds, so it works for me. I've considered buying an ultrasonic cleaner but my way works just fine and it's free. ;)

If I had to vape high vg I’d probably do the same. My vg is only 25-30% so I just steep.

You also make the point of not being able to get ahead on mixing so whatever works is good.

Not looking forward to going home tonight to the grump. At least this will be the last day since my daughter and her boyfriend will arrive tomorrow while I'm at work. I offered to help her last night but instead of gratitude, I got a lecture. I'm done offering. That's two nights in a row I offered to help and was turned down. I wouldn't mind except I get told that I don't care we are having visitors and don't help get things ready.

Hopefully, she'll be less grumpy tonight.

    One can still hope.

That's all we have sometimes. I'm probably exaggerating some but it isn't a pleasant environment right now.

On a brighter note, I am getting the Gen X and Drag X for review from sourcemore.

    Sorry to hear that Hitt.

Nearly 40 years of marriage taught me that they don't like to be asked if they need help. My wife would always say to me "why do you have to ask" quickly followed by "can't you just do". And THAT look. I know you know that look.

So one day before a big thanksgiving get together at our house I got a brilliant idea. I just started doing random "stuff". She said "why are you doing that" followed by "you should be doing this". Ha, little did she know that was all part of my plan. They much prefer you just do stuff allowing them to correct for our errors. Women.
And I recall reading something about that in the Marital :rules: Bliss Guide my Pops gave me when I got married.

ETA: Wives expect us to be mind readers.

I have the FW and love it! I know... FW does have some nasties in some flavors (and some have sugars that gunk up coils/wicks)
