Sorry to hear that Hitt.
Nearly 40 years of marriage taught me that they don't like to be asked if they need help. My wife would always say to me "why do you have to ask" quickly followed by "can't you just do". And THAT look. I know you know that look.
So one day before a big thanksgiving get together at our house I got a brilliant idea. I just started doing random "stuff". She said "why are you doing that" followed by "you should be doing this".Ha, little did she know that was all part of my plan. They much prefer you just do stuff allowing them to correct for our errors. Women.
And I recall reading something about that in the MaritalBliss Guide my Pops gave me when I got married.

ETA: Wives expect us to be mind readers.
I am also very busy (and had no clean bottles) or would have mixed sooner (thruth is I did have a bottle for the cheesecake... senior moment, just forgot) Cheesecake is in my front pants pocket (warm and gently agitated as I walk around) No, I don't plan on making a habit of this LOLYou also make the point of not being able to get ahead on mixing so whatever works is good.
They might have been. Or mine could just be possessing yours from the great beyond. I wouldn't put it past her, she always had a funny, and weird, sense of humor with everyone. Are you sure your wife and mine aren’t sisters. That totally sounds like my wife.
That's what I'm doing. Two weeks of steeping the Cheesecake Base 1. Two weeks to go.You would actually probably do your mixing a lot easier if you would listen to folks that have been mixing way longer than you. There are some excellent Cheesecake bases in Zazie’s blog. Mix and forget for a month.
Good on youThat's what I'm doing. Two weeks of steeping the Cheesecake Base 1. Two weeks to go.

TFA DX Peanut Butter. Don’t know about banana.Vaping my new recipe (inspired by pudding with vanilla wafers and bananas) I didn't have banana so used a pre-made peanut butter banana. I really like it but it has Cookie and needs to steep so I'll leave it be for now. I need a good PB and a banana so I can make this again all DIY. Thinking TFA peanut butter and a banana that realistic (not candy for this recipe) Any suggestions?
I gave it a shake and smelled the cheesecake base yesterday. It smells yummy. I wanted to drink it.Good on you![]()
Too funny. I never had that urgeI gave it a shake and smelled the cheesecake base yesterday. It smells yummy. I wanted to drink it.
I wouldn’t do more than give it a few days. This might be a dumb question but if add another flavoring to a mix I have already steeped, should I steep it all over again? For example, I am thinking about adding some Shisha Vanilla a mix.
Hey, I am smart enough to know I don't know much. I am happy to take advice from folks that have been doing this awhile.Too funny. I never had that urge
You’re a smart new mixer. There’s a lot of knowledge on this thread from old mixers. You take advantage of that.
Ok good to know. I am adding some to the 30ml of Lemon Cake Blueberry that I had already steeped and didn't care for. Because right now, it is just not good at all.I wouldn’t do more than give it a few days.
I think my first mix with the Lemon Cake had Black Current and a bit of Fresh Cream. Didn’t like it at all. Liked it solo much better. I’m not done with it yet though.Ok good to know. My wife did ask for help with stuff. Except, strangely, when we were going to have company. It was all fun though. Except those looks, and the angry wife look, the one that makes many husbands want to go hide in the garage under the car (with the dog).Ahhhh, luv you too.
I actually never asked help out of either husband I had unless it was something I could not do.I was more likely to be helping them as they were both self employed. One logger/saw mill owner and one body man/mechanic.
