Realised this morning I hadn't got any emails for a couple of days. I have a primary email and a second one I use for PayPal. The PP one stopped working a week ago so I moved PP onto my primary, then that one stopped working. Turned out the email handler I had been using forever went down the drain. MS Live Mail. I discovered it went out of support 3 years ago and nobody told me. The latest Win update finally killed it off. There's a fix involving adding some entries to the registry but it was time to move on. I got my email set up on Yahoo.

Consensus on the internet is to dump really old email addresses and get new ones. I've had sbcglobal addresses for a long time. Old ones like that probably get more junk messages. And the carrier could pull the plug on them at some point. It would be a right pain to track down all the people who have my old addresses and get them updated. It would be better to move to new addresses before it gets to where you have to get it done in a hurry.

I do have a gmail I set up just for ECF. For some reason that I forget ECF stopped supporting sbcglobal when they moved to the new platform a few years ago and I was cut off.

I hate it when things change.
I have Gmail . Works good for me.

NOPE - NA DA - NOT HAPPENING . . . Although, I am "forced" to go through "Yahoo" by AT&T (Uverse) and I do have 2 email accounts from a "private" non-profit provider for over 20+ years . . . ALSO - Had other email accounts a very long time ago, but when they started going the "Social" page route I cancelled each and every one of them . . . NOW - Gmail is the only online email service I use now (5 different accounts - for personal/private/professional use) . . . Just Sayin' . . .

englishmick My first email address was for work from around 1985. Up to last year I could find 20 or so references to it, but not today. Google can't find a single thing. Back then, before the web, all we had really was telnet and ftp. :)

AH - Memories of Unix systems, DOS, peer-to-peer & quick messaging, and alt chat rooms . . .

I worked for a student loan company in the 90's. They had a team of 5 women who played the system and sued for discrimination. Those lawsuits cost a fortune and are hard for a company to win. They set them up in a forgotten room and gave them work that didn't matter, which they never did. It was cheaper to do that than try to fire someone who had already sued, they could claim it was retaliation and sue again. As long as they turned up and sat at their desks all day they were paid to do nothing for years.
Yep, she is now “protected”. They can’t touch her for fear of retaliation lawsuits. It was an expensive loss for them. They tiptoe around her. In our company ALL salaries are published and easy to find. And if she didn’t look my raise up, the secretary would blab it to her. No win for me.

I was just giving another perspective about Anna having to work as the low man. But it turned into a vent about my own situation.

Your items most likely were shipped from China...to Everzon's middleman or middlewoman in the US. That person applies a new US shipping label to your package and then sends it on to you via USPS. That's why FT packages and others often come with several labels affixed to them. Usually a USPS label is placed on top of 1 of them from China. Many other Chinese vendors do that, too.

Just got tracking info from Everzon, so I dropped the dispute. I also edited my previous post.

Sometimes you have to fight janky with janky. Put in for two weeks vacation then quit the day you return.

I once gave two weeks notice at a job, put my famous split pea soup recipe that no one has ever heard of on the back, with the message at the bottom-- I'm tired of walking in Terry's office and catching him on porn sites. They told me to leave immediately but said they would pay me for the two weeks. Terry was fired a month later.
Is the split pea recipe like this: "Peas, I'm out." ?

I put in a dispute with PayPal for my (Grus mod) Everzon order. I tried emailing and messaging via chat and they just simply ignored every attempt at communication about the order. They had no issue getting back to me via chat if I asked about something on their site though.

I should have known better. I ordered 5 extra squonk bottles for the Smoant Battlestar and it took them over 3 weeks to finally ship them out. I figured that was something they had to ship from China, so I gave them the benefit of doubt even though it shipped from Illinois. Even when they created the shipping label two weeks after I ordered, the spare bottles did not leave their facility till 8 days later.

I did reorder the Grus from another Vendor last night and just got tracking info this morning.

ETA: Tracking info was sent.... a little patience on my part would have helped.
My Grus mods are taking a strange journey getting to me. They are coming from Ontario Canada, not California as I had first thought. Went from Ontario to Detroit, then to my town of Toledo yesterday and should have been delivered yesterday. Today tracking says the package went back to Detroit. Hmmmmm.

That is really strange to me for salaries to be posted. I've worked mostly for small companies and it's taboo to tell anyone how much someone makes. I can guarantee that there would be a lot of angry people at my work if they found out what I make. Especially since I also get a company car.

I'm guessing that they got an alert about the dispute and immediately generated a tracking number.

Well, after my Peach-Cactus disaster I went back to my Banana Cream Pie but I can't taste it anymore so last night I switched to a sft of FA Cappuccino that I made sometime back. Good but needs something, maybe Bavarian Cream. Also have a sft of Cowboy Blend to try. When we get paid I need VG and PG as I'm about out.

My employer of 41 years is a union shop so everyone knows what everyone makes, the only difference is overtime. So everyone that is a say "Gas T&R Mechanic" that works on gas regulation (my level) all make the same base salary no matter how much time they have with the company. Seniority helps you get the bid for the job, but 6 people turned down the bid for the job I got because of travel - I had to drive 2 1/2 hrs to work before I could get a transfer to a closer yard.

Good afternoon/evening everyone. I was pondering something today. Do you all keep a record of all the vape gear you have acquired?

I was having a creative block today, so I decided to do some home organizing today to clear my head. I find it helps. While I was cleaning out and organizing a closet, I got to thinking about maybe documenting the stuff I have in my vape stash. That way I can easier keep track of things.

Yup, I made a list of my mods, pods, coils and stuff awhile back.

I have a list of the mods I have and bagged and numbered tanks and accessories. I made a list of what was in each bag but last time I looked, I lost the list.
