I was thinking about how I have pages of recipes saved on elr and that I should go back through all the recipes I saved and mix some of them. Some were good but I'm always looking for the next great one so forget to go back and visit old ones.
I have some of mine that I really like and I’m going to remix the best of them. I’ve always tried to have mostly new recipes in a mixing session. I’m really rethinking that cause I have several recipes that should be remixed. So I’m going to shoot for 2 new recipes and some remixes.

It’s my off day. I needed it badly. I’m going to clean house and decorate for Christmas and do more Christmas shopping. I go overboard but it’s pretty when I finish. I worked all day yesterday, then helped my son with his last lab until 10 pm last night. Graphing a Mohr’s circle in Excel. o_O So tired but he was in a panic and it’s due today. He’s struggling with seven classes.

He came to me crying literal tears (we never cry so I knew it was serious) not too long ago because he didn’t understand one of his classes in Mechanics of Solids. The night before a huge test. So I started going over it with him at 7 pm that night for two hours and one hour the next morning. He aced the test with a 99.55! I am not impressed with some of his professors. They cancel class and I think with COVID it’s difficult to teach and they are not trying hard enough. Lucky for my son that I’ve had the same classes albeit 36 years ago.

The only mixing thing to speak of for me is I bought two label replacement cartridges for my label maker I use on my mixing bottles. They last forever so I won’t need any for a very long time. ‘Bout it. Soon I will be looking for mixes to make with Christmasy flavors.

Hope everyone has a great Friday!

I just recently created folders on ELR, didn't know I could do that. The folders are labeled SFTs, Favorites, Fails, and WIP (works in progress). It makes finding things a lot easier. I decided to keep track of fails so I won't get the bright idea to mix something again and/or possible tweaks I need to do to a recipe I've tried and did not like.

That's a great idea.:) I've so far been too lazy to make such folders.

I have have over 100 recipes saved on ELR myself. However, many of them I am missing 1 or more of the flavors for the mix. But I figure they are something I might want to mix down the road when I get more flavorings.

I've been using the folders for awhile myself. It does keep things organized. Mine are "next recipes to mix", "mixed but haven't tried yet", "worth a second look", "good", and "nope, nope, nope."

When you say "remix", do you mean just mixing a recipe again? Or do you mean adjusting a mix?

Big thanks for the melon/cuke recommendations, DaveOck and all!! I was wrong about the name of the Kind juice, it's Radiance not Reverence - which I've already forgotten after typing it :-/ Some TFA flavors are now ordered, and CaveFurby turned me on to Inewara flavors too.

Side note: Spilled some TFA peach on my office desk yesterday and OMG is it prolifically stinky.

There are some other brands that make a cucumber flavor. I don't know anything about cuke juice myself, but I know I've seen others mention it on this thread.
Your post may have gotten a little lost for a moment. @FranC @NolaMel , or anyone, any thoughts on melon cucumber mixes?
Funny, I was fiddling with a fig/cucumber/honeysuckle recipe I abandoned last night. I have Cap and RF/SC. Cap is decent. I haven’t tried it with melon yet, but I think it would be a good choice.

I tried my sft of Tiramisu SSA yesterday. It only steeped for 8 days, but wasn't bad. I'll revisit it at the 2, 3, and 4 week marks as well.

It has a coffee liqueur-ish type note to it, and a very light cookie flavor in the background. I liked it... hopefully it ages well. I mixed it at 2% and flavor was not light at all.
