Well I just took my BP and it's 166/101. This is after sleeping.

    \
ER is sometimes crappy. I went to the ER back in 2016 for complaints of severe pain near my chest. They only ruled out a blood clot and heart attack. I found out later at the primary doctor I had autoimmune liver disease. I ended up being a stage 2 cirrhosis. I was upset with the ER for not even letting me know my liver function tests. Moral of the story: Be very vocal in your health care. I can't believe they discharged you. Please take care

Oh I agree but this was the hospital that let me go - the ER got me admitted. The doctor, a total quack in my opinion, seemed satisfied that my creatine went from 2.5 to whatever it went down to, ignoring the fact that my BP was very high. The nurse was not happy to let me go and said "If it continues come back".

Oh and BTW: From experience I know a low dose aspirin taken before bed time will help lower blood pressure . . . Hope this information helps . . .

I cannot take aspirin of any kind.

Not a lot of snow here either because of the water. Ok, technically it is the Gulf of Mexico, and we’re farther south than the Florida panhandle... but yeah, no snow normally.

I ordered MF white chocolate. I figure if it’s not incredible, I can use it for baking. Kind of hopeful about it!
I am 100% certain that it is your proximity to the Gulf of Mexico that accounts for your snowlessness. Latitude has nothing to do with it AT ALL.

Isn't a winter nor'easter kind of similar to the lake-effect snow I get off of Lake Michigan but much bigger in scale? After a snowstorm gets out over the lake it's not unusual for us to get several more inches of snowfall at the back end of a snowstorm. Up to 1-2" per hour.
All I know is, most of the time we get way less snow here in town, right on the Bay of Fundy, than people even just a few miles out the road do.

It is snowing quite hard here now, and the temperature is hovering right around freezing. Very windy, too. Unless the snow switches to rain, I predict power outages.

Note: as is usual during a nor'easter, my driveway is clear, but for the plow ridge.

I just looked up some nor'easter info. Pretty cool, from afar --- like Wisconsin far. A nor'easter is "a synoptic-scale extratropical cyclone". Hmmm, Nor'easter sounds better.

Just checked the weather radar for out by you guys. I know @Zazie is like right on the ocean. Are you close to the ocean too?

Along the ocean the waves must get huge.
Yes, fools drive out to Quoddy Head to admire them during storms.

Just my vaccine check-in. No side effects whatsoever. My arm is no longer sore and it was never bad at all. My next shot is on the 21st. I feel so relieved and thankful! I take Dad for his first shot this evening. Still nothing on Mom but I hope to hear something soon. Once my company (I'm so proud!) started working with our County...it seems things are moving quickly to get the vaccine out to more people. They have opened up more sites and hopefully Mom can get hers. So I suppose this is my last check in for side effects until the next shot. LOL!

We get snow every now and then but it's rare. But it will be just a few inches or a dusting. In 1993 we got a horrible snow and ice storm. I was one of the first ones to get power back on but it was ROUGH for a couple of days. I was freezing with no back up anything. Tons of snow and ice. Then in 2014 we got major snow and particularly ice that closed down everything, interstates and all. I got stuck at work that time for over a day. That was awful! My Dad braved the ice in a 4 wheel drive to pick up my son from middle school as they didn't close down as it was a sudden storm. My son was the last to be picked up...many many students had to stay at school overnight. It was bad. Yuck...I don't like those cases. But a little snow here and there is fun. Could I live where it snowed and stayed white all the time...heck no! Give me sunshine and warmth! I can't imagine having to de-snow my driveway and sidewalks. Nobody here can drive in it either so my .... stays home with any sign of ice and snow. My bosses know I could never get down my steep driveway if there is any inkling of it. My state is not equipped for it either.

    Somewhere between here and there
The less snow we get the better. We are somewhere in the middle. We don't usually get anything much over 4 inches at a time which is manageable. I keep thinking that I'd like to retire somewhere where it doesn't snow but depending on where our kids end up living then I don't know if my wife would move or not.

    Morning, all.

Well, no snow here. Rain, and lots of it. Staying in the low 40s for now. We do sometimes get snow here, although at our elevation usually not a lot. Then again, we've had ice storms at times, which helps to limb the trees...

That was a few years back, for those who don't know what snow looks like ;)

Uh, @DLKnives , you ARE keeping a log of your BP for your PCP, aren't you? Some years back the med I was on for BP decided to stop working. As my doc and I were "tuning" the new meds, I took and logged my BP twice daily, taking that data in to him. Helped speed up the process! And eliminates any "white coat" syndrome that might impact the readings.

Good morning in here! Anyone know of a place that has cheap nautilus coils? I know central vapor has cheap coils but they are on my crappy list right now. I sent them a email and they never responded. They are charging shipping over 50 dollars and the web site says they have free shipping over 50. So I'm looking for a bulk supplier who can ship me some.

I don't know of anyone who has cheap authentic ones.
Have you tried the Triton Mini coils and/or Plato tank coils yet in your Nautilus tanks? Compatibility charts show both of those will work. Inexpensive ones of them can still be found.

I use to use the mini coils years ago. Any ideas? Please and thank you!
