OK, so I'm barging in.

I've got my browser open, since I have to order some VG.
Thought I'd pick up a flavor or two, since all mine are old and I mostly vape unflavored.

So I'm thinking an RY4-ish type of thing. Not that there's any "real" version of that.

I've got Flavor Apprentice RY4 Double in the basket right now, and to hedge my bet I'm thinking of getting flavors to tweak it with if I wish, since I haven't tried it before.

Maybe a caramel pecan? (Seems like I remember using that in my DIY days) and or maybe peanut?

Opinions? Maybe I should just get a plain tobacco flavor to mix it with too? Like Flavor Apprentice-Western?

My favorite mixer is Hangsen Ry3

Did you have the brie cheese to make it like Fran did?
No. I had an already steeped cheesecake base that used yogurt instead. I am woefully short on patience, so I mix a big bottle of cheesecake and add the other flavors after it’s steeped.

Oooooops. Thought it was you. I’ll revisit the wish list. Again. Those are your two favs? Are they coil gunkers? At least coming from you, I know they won’t be too sweet ;)
Not gunkers. Chocolates aren't sweet to me.

Have you found anything that the sweet fades/steeps out of? For example,I’m trying to figure out what it is with the smoked butterscotch. I pulled out an Eisai tea/smoked butterscotch/nectarine/peach/gelato I mixed the in June. At 4 weeks it was a mishmash mess. Tried it again, now the tea has gone from nothing but sweet to very floral ( love floral, so that’s ok), and the sweet of the butterscotch left sort of a smoky butter. Not very caramel/butterscotch to me. I’d make it again with some tweaking, but put an 8 week steep on the label
    No luck having sweet fade.

From an occasional tobacco/mix vaper, it's hard to go wrong with Hangsen tobaccos IMO. My favorites are RY4, Highway & Turkish Blended... :D They are great stand alone and in mixes with vanilla, caramel, nuts & creams...

I can’t tell if it’s the floral overpowering or butterscotch morphing, or a little of both. The smoked butterscotch in my bourbon mix did the same though, at least for my weird taste buds. But not until about 6 weeks

    Thanks for all the feedback.

I should have mentioned, that one of the things I try to avoid are NETs. I'm after 100% artificial flavorings, not extracts from Tobacco. Not that every artificial flavor is going to turn out totally safe either, but it's all a crap shoot with the flavoring thing anyway. Ya gotta live, right? But I make my choices.

What I can't tell from the various sites is...when they say "Natural and Artificial flavors" what the hell that all means.

If they're extracting from tobacco, it may taste more authentic, but I'm not that interested in exact spot-on taste anyway since it's not a cig. And I want to avoid any potential "stuff" that comes along with it, even if it tastes more like the real thing.

I guess I'm weird that way. Heck, I'm mixing it with vanilla, caramel, and nut flavor anyway.

@NolaMel You keep reminding me I have 2 bottles of very well steeped Cheesecake bases to use up. I thought it would be a good idea but I don't always mix the same base so I've neglected using them. Going to get them out of my drawer now so I can use them up.

So I copped out and just ordered "trial sizes" since I mostly vape unflavored anyway.
    Flavor West - Butter Pecan
Flavor Apprentice - French Vanilla II
    Flavor Apprentice - Western
    along with my VG.

I may be able to make a passable RY4 from that, or use them individually. And if I like them, I guess I can order the full sized
versions. I was wondering if anyone was going to pop in and say "yeah, order <orange> flavor for the RY4, that really makes it". ;) :p

I decided not to order their RY4 as I've had iffy experiences with (different vendor, different flavors) pre-mixed RY4 in the past. Mix your own from the base flavors! Then it's "to taste".

Thanks again everyone for the feedback. I guess IDK, RY4 is a weird one. No two are alike. It's a "mystery flavor" for sure. I have to apologize for popping in and then ignoring good advice, maybe I shouldn't have posted. But I'm also limited to what I can order from the site that I'm ordering from (that I didn't state either!).

No amazing revelations came in as to a secret-recipe for making RY4, and I changed it all up anyway after thinking about it.  But thanks again for the feedback.

    :)
