I knew paypal had been cutting off some vendors and not others. I didn't realize it could affect my account. I placed an order with Health Cabin this morning and they accepted paypal.
The vendors they've been cutting off have likely come to PP's attention in 2 ways: (1) People have filed disputes against them. During the dispute process...buyers have to tell exactly what item(s) they've purchased from that vendor that are in dispute, post links to the item(s), explain exactly what's in dispute (item not as described, wrong item sent, etc.). PP will know and can see immediately that the dispute involved vaping products. (2) The vendor's website or business name included reference to vape or vaping. Otherwise, there's be no reason for PP to pick & choose just those vendors.
It can affect the standing of your PP account because their User Agreement says users must agree to abide by their policies in order to continue using PP. You were likely still able to purchase from Health Cabin because no one has delved into your recently filed dispute yet...to see that it involved vaping products.
EDIT: The above is why sellers on the Classies request that there be NO mention at all of vaping, ecigs, etc. in the message box shown on PP...when a member makes a payment for an item(s) from the Classies. Also, because of PP policies, there
IS no buyer protection by PP
for vaping things bought/sold on the Classies. Doesn't matter if it was paid for via
either method on PP: Pay for Goods & Services (seller has to pay a fee to accept the $) OR by the Send Money to Family & Friends method (seller pays no $ to accept it). Their BP policy doesn't cover disputes about prohibited items.
