I don’t know how much it has to do with taste buds. Way too many flavors for my liking.
I’ve been tricked into buying a bunch of new flavors before with these big recipes and then not liking the recipes.

Yup your logic is good. I've been practicing since @Redbird11 replied. I'm getting the hang of it. But, I'm not sure (despite the logic) that's it's quite as pleasurable as a lung inhale. But, I do agree that's it's probably much better for me. So, I plunge ahead.@mattiem, a few others, and I have vaped without inhaling for years. It's the only way I've ever vaped, since I started vaping in Nov. 2013. I can't remember if mattiem and the others started that way or switched to it long ago. In about the last 2-3 years though, when vaping without inhaling to the lungs has come up in discussions...quite a few people have decided to try it. Some haven't been able to get the hang of it, but others have with practice. Our numbers have steadily been growing.
As far as how to do it - I pull vapor into my mouth the same way I used to pull in smoke from my ciggies. The difference in the 2 starts after it hits the back of my throat. Instead of then pulling it down to my lungs in the next split second or so with a 2nd littler inhale (as I did with smoke)...the vapor stays in my mouth for a second or 2, and I exhale it right back out, through my nose and/or mouth.
To me, the method is more like I've seen people do, who are smoking a pipe. But, most of those I've seen using a pipe...exhale only through their mouth.
Reasons I started vaping without inhaling to my lungs from the get-go were...1) I'd read and heard that nic in vapor is more readily absorbed by the cells of the cheek linings, nasal passages, and sinus cavities...rather than in the lungs. I knew I likely needed to get the most out of the nic in my vapor as I could, to help keep me off the smokes. So I decided to try the not inhaling to my lungs at all method. 2) I'd already been putting smoke into my lungs for 42+ years. I figured I'd give them a break the rest of my life and not inhale even vapor.
Not me. I know better.I’ve been tricked into buying a bunch of new flavors before with these big recipes and then not liking the recipes.
"french inhale"?Unless I'm stressed I usually will french inhale. I've been doing this forever (it seems). I think it evolved from my lungs hurting when I first started vaping. Of course, at work I MTL.
I recently found myself making recipes with too many flavors and have kind of hit a streak of not so good mixes. I've made myself follow a new rule of no more than 3 flavors per recipe for awhile. I think simpler is better for me. Then if I find something a like with the 3 flavor mix, I can see about expanding or adjusting that recipe with additional flavors.I’ve
decided I don’t have enough taste buds to handle that many flavors at once lol. It tastes all muddled to me
I tried it a bit last night. I used to smoke cigars semi-regularly so it's kind of familiar to me. But if I had to choose, I still probably prefer the inhale method.Yup your logic is good. I'm no where near the french but I do inhale though the nose at most times."french inhale"?
I'm afraid to ask.
As @hittman also mentioned, I've been mostly doing NETs (Stixx) when I mix tobaccos. Except for the Purilum Sweet Tobacco, which I think is very nice, straight or mixed. The FLV Tobacconist Assortment pack contains:
Arabian Tobacco
Cavendish
Classic Cigarette
Commercial Cigarette
Connecticut Shade
Cured Tobacco
Kentucky Blend
Native Tobacco
Oriental Tobacco
Pucker Tobacco
Red Burley
Sweet & Smokey Tobacco
Sweet Cigarette
Tatanka Tobacco
Turkish Tobacco
Virginia Tobacco
I'm pretty excited about it. And it's a good deal. If you bought all of those separately it would be a lot more than the $50 I spent on the 10 ml bottles.
Your post reminded me that I have issues with really high VG. Not allergic, just sensitive, in that it irritated my lungs and nostrils.Thank you for sharing that! Once I hopefully find out which ingredient is causing my sensitivity or allergy. I think I will continue vaping without inhalingI was forced to start it, but if I can find out what ingredient is causing the sensitivity in my sinuses I will be able to blow the vapor out my nose and also be able to vape more than 4 puffs in 2 days without having symptoms. I’m really hoping it’s not PG...because my nicotine is all PG based... lol My husband was traveling and picked me up a bottle of premade max Vg eliquid 3mg nic when this all started. Supposedly it is 91% Vg, and I still get symptoms. My husband picked it up for me to try just in case it was something in my personal Vg or pg that I bought. I did notice that my experiment not that long ago of my mix of 100% Vg with 2% flavoring I had much worse symptoms....but also that was not very long after getting better. Once I wait a bit longer, I just finished experimenting with the this premade eliquid, I am going to try 100% Vg nothing else in it to see what happens. If the symptoms happen with just the Vg I will try just pg after waiting a bit to let the Vg leave my system. If it happens with both I will be sad but I will be able to take a puff or two every few days! Lol It is a terrible time for my body to decide it is sensitive to something in my vape
I really hope I can figure it out and mostly that I can still vape.

Except that I'm a "he".
My filter is working really well this week. This is the second time in 3 days I felt my comment was very inappropriate. I am growing up in front of all of y'all.
I’m going out on a limb... it was ice cream you reacted to? Did it have nuts in it?I appreciate thatI would love if it was something so simple
I’m going to wait a bit and try again and differently. I did not wait long enough the first time. I am hoping it turns out differently this time when I try it with everything out of my system![]()
Good evening in here. I'm on my way to watch Season 4 of "The Magicians". What a trippy but good series.
"You're" funny my friend @Uncle. I'm thinking about visiting FL to figure out my life and where I want to live next. Not sure if it will happen soon, as there are numerous things going on. But, IF I visit Ft. L would you give me some pointers? It's always better with someone who is local.
Hubs and I have to watch 2 episodes a night when I'm at home. I have no idea how this series escaped my viewing until now.If you enjoyed season 1-3 "You" will really like season 4 . . . Just Sayin' . . .
.
I'm making the simple syrup flavorings tonight for the shaved ice I'm doing at the horse rescue's fundraiser Saturday.
They're very popular with children and adults...here in Florida and in Hawaii.
Cuz @Katya has a pair of mine at her place. No shirts though.![]()
I KNEW IT!!!! Kaaaaaat?![]()
