Good morning Everyone

Up before long before the Sun, long walk with Carli dog, managed to get some house cleaning done...took a break for coffee + vape...additional house cleaning...vape.

Told myself last night when I went to bed "no posting on ECF until you get at least a couple things mixed". Check... done x2.

I mixed Frannie's Coffee Cake and also her new IC base. Don't have HA FVIC so I subbed VT Vanilla Ice Cream 1%. Was going to use FA Vanilla Ice Cream, but, I know the Italian's flavor things differently so for now I passed on that idea. I need to test that one as a single first.

The coffee cake smells really good off the shake.

More mixing is in order for today. Make up a new recipe or two. Some sft's too.

How is the VT Vanilla Ice Cream? I haven't seen much in the way of reviews or recipes with it.

It is a bit better, but not much. I've already had about a half gallon of water this morning, and that seems to help a bit.

Yep. I am hoping by getting something like a air purifier or humidifier, it might help relieve some of the sinus issues. Funny thing is I hardly had any problems with it last year.

VT Vanilla Ice Cream is good but, as with other IC's, it needs the help of other flavors, IMO. The vanilla is a darker bean but on the lighter side. The vanilla gets stronger with a long steep. It's creamy with a slight butter note.

I was going to use VT French Vanilla Ice Cream in Fran's IC base but it has an eggy note kind of like CAP VC1. I didn't want that for this IC base. It would work better in more of a custard IC with either CAP VC1 (eggy forward) or FA Custard Premium (not as eggy).

You should consider getting the HA ice creams. They are good.

You should consider getting the HA ice creams. They are good.

I went a lookin' through my flavors for HA flavors. HA Cream I have but not the IC's. Called my brother, he has HA FVIC, but is 90 miles away. He is not planning on coming down anytime soon, busy tattooing out of town for a bit. So I will just order them.

I just got finished creating and mixing a recipe for an Apple crumble cake with a caramel glaze. (Can see Fran cringing in her chair. Lolz. Just teasin' ya, someone has to .)

I made it so the apples and caramel could easily be swapped out for other fruits, or whatever, using the following as a base.

FW White Cake 3%
WF Crumble Topping 0.75%
VT Vanilla Cream 1.5%
FA Milk 1%

It's a new creamy cake base for me, so IDK, we'll see.
