I may have to mix mocha and cream with some grapefruit. Sometimes weird stuff is good.
Good thinking. Weird and wacky sometimes brings surprisingly good results.

Last night I was looking around ATF and found several mixes that had flavors I never thought, or knew, would work together. Folks who tried those recipes really liked them and left good reviews.

Bring on the weird!

I saved this recipe by AlfredPudding, it isn't too weird. I am most interested in what he did to make a more convincing chocolate. And his use of corn bread for the cake.

I never would have thought of using OOO Corn Bread as part of a cake mix. Also adding a tiny amount of coconut to bring richness and depth to a chocolate. Doubt we would taste the coconut but have no doubts it just works.

I did my looking on my iPad last night. Don't remember what else I may have bookmarked. I'll have to look. I'm on my computer now.

Also wonder if mocha and cream would be good in a cookie mix (FA or INW biscuit).

And a little research says the following will work with a mocha. Tart fruit, such as kiwis, black currants, granny smith apples, lemons, limes, and grapefruits pair especially well.
    Bet banana would work, too.

In a way that's similar to how I use lemon at times. As an additive, or enhancer, that won't be tasted in a mix. 0.25%-0.5% lemon will help separate and brighten flavors in a mix.

Tribe called quest were excellent....I'm a fan of Rage against the Machine too although that's a bit crossover.

I like Rage too. I’ve got most of their music

Good to know. Thanks. I added it to my cart along with the corn bread. I'm curious about that corn bread.

Catching up a bit - rough weekend here due to allergies. DH and I were pretty miserable, not sleeping well and constantly attached to a box of Kleenex. The recommendations here are good. I'm allergic to my cat so take meds daily and always have the nasal rinse in stock. Unfortunately, it's not keeping up with the pollen this year. I'm glad there's rain in the forecast.

So, we're low energy (tired) today. I managed to do two important things: (1) set up a couple of atties and clean some to be ready for the next swap out and (2) a little mixing. It was limited because I forgot to defrost more nic. I'm also bummed because I didn't think I had both croissants to make ShowMeTwice's base, only to check my inventory list afterwards to find out that I do, I ordered the WF in May. The mind is going. It's now written on my list for the next time I mix. I have high hopes because I think I'll agree with the SMT's notes, VT alone didn't seem complete.

Not looking forward to work tomorrow. achoo!

But Hank Senior is Ledgend but Jr. Ain't so bad
I guess it was the cowboy hat... I forgot what a diverse (and interesting) taste in music you have. I only posted Hank because my mother and her 92 year old friend mentioned the Jambayala song and then my memories of my cousins. Anyway, I love Hank Jr too... "there's a tear in my beer" ;) I love the instrumental stuff you post :thumb:

Yes, it was Hank. My dad's been gone just a year as of last week, and at times I still can't believe that he's gone.
I don't really do "likes" and such much... but when I do, it really means something (one more Love for you)
