He came in to ask where I had the pie stashed.It’s Mrs. Smith’s Dutch apple pie. With whipped cream. So good! I just got the kitchen cleaned up myself. I’m on the couch for the rest of the night. So tired!
I just finished another section of the blog but am done for tonight. I'm wiped. I might watch a movie on netflix. My wife went to visit her mom so I've got some time to relax.

Just checked up on Uncle. His voice sounds better and more like himself, than it did on Friday. He said it's most likely because he's more rested now, though in his words...he "still feels like crap". He asked me to post that he appreciates the kind words and thoughts and will hopefully be back to posting in a few days. He also jokingly reminded me what I neglected to put at the end of my other post about him.

Not sure about the "he must be getting better" part though. At first he said tell 'em I'm somewhere between feeling like crap and just starting to feel better. Then changed it to just "still feeling like crap".

There's been a few fireworks going off, but not too bad. If it's like the other night, they'll call it quits soon.
There's a really good show at a rich people social club over the river from me. I can get a good view of it from the top of the levee but not this year, the mosquitoes are really bad right now.

It rained all day today, which kept the explosions at bay. A few firecrackers earlier, and a brief display up the hill from me, but that was it. What's strange is that usually quite a few firecrackers are set off in the days leading up to the 4th, but this year there were none till tonight.
