I was taught as a kid not to tilt a turtle or they would pee.
That's interesting...I've never heard that before. The ones I've moved then, must've been "special", or not been quite right. 'Cause I always carry them directly out in front of me, with my arms extended out all the way, tortoise as level as possible, and it never fails...pee starts streaming down and invariably comes back to hit my legs and feet.

Maybe that rule only applies to turtles, and not to tortoises?? @Skeebo...any ideas?
