I've never stopped wearing mine after vaccination in March.

Although unvaccinated people are supposed to be wearing a mask at work but they won't.

Around Milwaukee, it's a joke, a complete joke. Most do not, or refuse, to wear a mask. I am vaccinated, Pfizer, and wear a mask whenever I am around people and in the stores I go to. Some of the unmasked snicker at the masked.

Likewise, second shot was end of Feb. Yeah, mask "mandates" lifted for vaccinated folk, not for un. And, of course, those un folk are also the ones who were anti-mask to start with, and now they have a free pass. HIPA. Yeah, we can ask, they don't have to answer, and if they do answer it's probably a lie. We mask anytime we're around people. Figure at least half the unmasked are not vaccinated.

And some of the snickerers are begging for a shot just before they get intubated. Sorry, doesn't work that way.

Also trying my guava pastry (Pastelitos de Guayaba) idea, from way back, with a couple more fruits. I added a few drops of mango and starfruit to a 10ml bottle of my original guava pastry. I still need to figure out the %'s for what I added. It's very tasty and tropical. I like it.

I use a glass graduated cylinder beaker thing for measuring now. I think I got it at Nic River. It measures by the ml

Me too. 100ml cylinder for base and 10ml for flavors. They are plastic though. Occasionally use a 1ml syringe for small amounts in test mixes, pour the flavor in the top and let let it drain out the bottom.

HIPA. Yeah, we can ask, they don't have to answer, and if they do answer it's probably a lie.

However, HIPAA only applies to HIPAA-covered entities – healthcare providers, health plans, and healthcare clearinghouses – and their business associates. If an employer asks an employee to provide proof that they have been vaccinated in order to allow that individual to work without wearing a facemask, that is not a HIPAA violation as HIPAA does not apply to most employers.

My boss was tested for covid last week and he's still not back to work after being out all last week. He will not tell anyone (not that I asked because that's rude) if he tested positive. But the fact he is again out this week let's me know the answer. If he tested negative he would be here. Nobody unvaccinated in my office is wearing masks per the rules. So...as of today...I started wearing mine again. I don't understand these people. A rule is a rule. Covid is real. Why is this so hard? Just hardheadedness and know-it-all-ness. Well, he didn't wear a mask and got it. sigh

My wife had a doctor appointment this morning, on the way back she popped in to the place where she used to work to pick up gossip from her old workmates. First visit since she retired at the end of 19. It's a small upmarket lighting company owed by a workaholic couple in their late 70's who are hard line (ex-president)ies. They took a trip to Florida in spring of 20 and caught covid. They went back to work after the trip coughing and wheezing. She got too sick to work after a week, he went on working for another week until one day he couldn't get up from his chair. Left in an ambulance and spent 10 days in the ICU.

It's a retail outlet. They refused to require masks in the store or the office. When the staff complained they said look at us, we're old and we survived covid just fine.

She got out of that place just in time.

I have tried a few things with guava while trying to mimic those Cuban guava pastries I use to love in Miami. I found adding a touch of Jammy Berry FLV really works well with the guava.
