Yes, not a "serial polluter" or whatever they call it. You can't register your vehicle without it in Vegas. When we lived in Pahrump, which is an hour away, they didn't require them. But Pahrump is 35k people and Vegas is huge.

There was something like that in the UK, only worse. It was called the MOT test (Ministry Of Transport). That was back in the 70's. They would even reject you for stuff like rusted out sills. I remember the guy taking one look at my old car and shaking his head. He said we can replace the sills for you, for more than the car was worth. Then he said, or you can pay a 30 pound deposit for the sill work and bring it in later and I can give you the MOT. Wink. So I paid the 30 pounds and he wrote out the MOT without even looking at the car. I did that many times.

Those were the days.

Now it's still called an MOT but now it's managed by the DVLA and all the garages make good money from it.....and there's an emissions test too. Every year!!
Same here in France but at least it's only every two years.....rusty sills....I remember those too.

@Redbird11 - You could always come to FL and live in Kissimmee and/or Titusville. Although contrary to how most tourists mangle those names...they're actually pronounced Kiss im' mee (not Kiss' i mmee) and Ti' tus ville (not Tit' us ville). Two Egg and Micanopy might be places you could visit. :)

It's an Indian name from the ones that used to live here. Brothels are legal there. :w00t:
Yeah I knew it was a Native American thing, but the word is still funny.

And I'm glad to hear Pahrump has a thriving sex industry. Although, I think they should have brothels in Humptulips too. Seems like a perfect town name for it.

I have some family in Kissimmee actually, been there a few times. I would like to see Two Egg though.

It was quick to mix today, now they will stand 2-4 weeks in the steep so we will see.

The day has mostly been spent searching around.
I think I have found some decent 510s, but a bit as expected they are in Italy.
I'm happy if I have the things I want before the year is over.

Happy Friday, folks.

Still no rain, although they're actually hinting at more than dew over the weekend. We'll see. And, one 'cast showed nothing even in the 80s for the next week. Then again, a different one had us mid 80s through that time. We're hoping the lower one is right.

Well, then, if you ever live in WA, there's a town called Humptulips. :)

Now for some reason I'm hearing and seeing Mel Brooks in my head. Harumph!!

Two Egg is actually very small. It's mostly known for having a speed trap.

Here's even more FL cities with unusual names:
    1. Bagdad (NE of Pensacola)
    2. Bohemia (NE of Pensacola)
    3. Christmas (E of Orlando)
    4. Couch (near Cocoa)
    5. Doctor's Inlet (SW of Jacksonville)
    6. Dogtown (NW of Tallahassee)
    7. Elfers (S of New Port Richey)
    8. Eucheeanna (SE of DeFuniak Springs)
    9. Festus (NE of Tallahassee)
    10. Fluffy Landing (NE of Santa Rosa Beach)
    11. Howey-in-the-Hills (NW of Orlando)
    12. Lone Cabbage (W of Cocoa)
    13. Lorida (SE of Sebring)
    14. Lulu (S of Lake City)
    15. Mayo (E of Perry)
    16. Needmore (S of Spring Hill)
    17. New York (N of Pensacola)
    18. Niceville (NE of Fort Walton Beach)
    19. Okahumpka (S of Leesburg)
    20. Picnic (SW of Tampa)
    21. Possum Bluff (NW of Merrit Island)
    22. Roach Branch (S of Bonifay)
    23. Spuds (SW of St. Augustine)
    24. Tobacco Patch Landing (SE of Gainesville)
    25. Wacahoota (SW of Gainesville)
    26. Weeki Wachee (W of Brooksville)

**Okahumpka and Wacahoota are 2 that seem to be related to Pahrump and Humptulips. :D
