uh...I'm in a state...where that is probably not a good idea...especially in my development where the lease has changed to no smoking/vaping on property INCLUDING my own apartment.
Unless you're vaping some awful smelly liquid, how will anyone know if you're vaping? Close your door and curtains, don't talk about it, vape on.

Good afternoon fine fellows :)
I signed a contract with the devil and bought a macbook pro. My first apple anything. It doesn't replace my 2 desktop PCs, but for a mobile device.. the new M1 MBP couldn't be beat for the price and I actually really like this machine. I used to be so anti-apple. The Apple Tax when it comes to upgrades or servicing still stings though.
@hittman IIRC you were struggling with Python and that book i recommended you.. well, just in case you're interested.. I just started this program. App Academy Open it's a free version of app academy's $20k web development bootcamp and shares identical course work and curriculum, except it's free, slower, and it's DIY. Another one I'm curious about is this: Your Career in Web Development Starts Here | The Odin Project. I was about to make a major financial commitment, until I realized App Academy has a free program. I had overlooked it because I thought it was just the 20k bootcamp.
Both are free and no strings, and thought by chance it might tickle your fancy. And maybe if you just wanted to pick up python again.. sometimes leaving something and coming back to it after a while does the trick.
I've been using Apple only for several years now. Just replaced my 7yr old MacBk Pro with an M1 Air. I understand the negatives of Apple stuff. On the other hand, the computers have worked really well for me. And, since my phone is an iPhone, the two work together seamlessly and beautifully.

Tomorrow I start a healthier lifestyle (notice I did not say diet). I went from feeling great working from home to a stressed out overworked puppy going to work everyday and my diet is not good and I’m feeling it. I have never worked so hard in my life. My company is giving $400 to vaccinated employees…and it went straight to the ortho. I have also made up my mind that when I get through this busy time and the holidays I’m going to start dating again… I need change.
I have some change. Do we have a date?

Glad the runners worked out for you. I have to get wide sizes sometimes, depending on the brand or style of shoe.

I put leather conditioner on them tonight and will see if they break in. I have up to 90 days to send them back.

So far, the M1 Pro has met my expectations. So far so good. I can understand the appeal of syncing your phone with your computer, and my android is friendly with macs.. but I don't and will not sync my android to my Windows computers, or the apple for that matter. That's just me, but many people enjoy the benefits.
I'll still use my windows/Linux desktops, but I am at least converted for now with the Apple for laptops. With the battery life and the new chip, it's hard to beat the M1 books unless you're a gamer.

Prevarication and tiredness stopped me mixing yesterday but hey I'll try and get it done at the weekend....really busy today. Off out to lunch at friend's and the food shop needs doing!!

All quiet at the neighbours for two nights now...I guess the parents threatened something bad :D Not holding my breath though!!

Have a good day all

One time the Who, among other bands, played at an outdoor concert at the college where my father taught. We could hear them at our house, three miles away. No wonder Pete Townshend went deaf.
Yes...he spent years playing in front of a stack of Marshall amplifier's....defo not good for the hearing. People used to come out of their concerts with their ears ringing :)
    Those were the days!!

    Good morning folks,

Today I actually have to mix.

I think there is a chance that the unknown stixx mixture is Perique, so there will be one to mix up, in a month I will know what it was.
Two others to mix are Butter Rum and Black Cavendish.

The package I hoped would arrive yesterday is still at rest in Oslo, when there is something one looks forward to getting, it always ends like this.

I said I was done shopping for the big things for this year, but I'm going to buy two chips.

    Perique is my favorite.

Bummer on your package. I hope you get it today.
