Good morning random folks:) Have you any plans today.
Good morning Fran and friends :)
Plans are work, get a little outside work when I'm done for the day and anxious to get back to studying. The current program I'm in is about 2000 hours of study and practice to completion
I'm really enjoying a lemon cake custard mix i made a few weeks ago.. I added 2.5% Lemon cake INW and 1% Lemon SC to my plain custard base, and it's divine. I made a candy apple/watermelon mix and it is.. okay. It's good, but idk how to put it.. not quite really what I was going for but I do like it.
I'm not sure I've ever made a mix where I've had to toss it. Although, now that I think about it.. long before I discovered this treasure trove of a thread, I was mixing on my own without any guidance using flavors and bases from Mt Baker.. it was mostly good when doing one shot type flavors, but there was some green apple flavor/mix I could never get behind. I ended up just going with store bought after a while, until @JCinFLA showed me the way, the truth, and the light, and plunked me in mixing and in this thread.
I still have a long, long way to go to even match the mastery going on here. And even then, you all are always trying to improve and innovate.

I finally got in a workout and got the new Blotto rta set up for review. I grabbed the Italian Su Shot while I was down there. It’s super good but kind of sweet. It’s sponge cake with a cream topping. Might be a little sweet for you Fran but I think Charlie might like it.
I might....

Thanks. I think that a lot are tinted because the manufacturer thinks it makes the product look better an will sell more units. I’ll take the functionality of a clear or lightly tinted tank any day to one I had to hold up to a light to check the liquid level. The one on the Ursa isn’t the darkest I’ve seen but it’s darker than it needs to be for aesthetic purposes.
I'm a bit more cynical....it's either because making a crystal clear polymer is difficult or a deliberate act so that you can't see your juice level and fry your cotton.... doesn't hurt sales :)

Back in the old days the plastic section of Pro Tanks was colored with a film on the outside. After a while the color would wear off. I always preferred clear but sometimes they made it hard. When I was stocking up on KFL plastic sections they were mostly sold in packs with 2 clear and 2 each of the different colors.

I agree the darker tanks/pods are a pita! The ones on my Aspire nautilus prime x are dark and even darker when inserted into the battery portion. Looks nice but really hard to see the fluid level. I find myself constantly removing it to check it or toasting a coil, I keep hoping I will get to the feel stage where I can tell it's getting low.

I can't remember which one it was but I had one pod mod where the pod was almost completely inside the mod and there was a viewing window but it was dark tinted so it was useless. Does no one seriously test these devices before they got out for review?

I had a Nauti prime for awhile. I failed to get used to it and ended up spiffing it.

That's another thing.... design. Usually any designers get three shots on making a product good enough then they just market test it. If it sells then it's ok if not then they'll pull it and come up with something else. Any designer will tell you that they need at least seven attempts to get a product right but that's not how business works!!

I don't think that's the case with these tinted tanks though.

    Morning, all.

Still dry here, but also still survivable temps, so can't complain too much.

We live adjacent to wetlands, so seasonal mosquitos are a part of life. We use these (or similar)

No chemicals, no odor, and they do work pretty well. And avoid the models that use "button" cells, since they're harder to keep in stock ;)

Morning/afternoon all....late afternoon here. Thinking I'm getting some side effects from my third Pfizer jab. It was last Tuesday and the effects didn't start until Friday so not sure what's going on!

Trying the Kreeds custard mix at the mo and it's very good. Definitely going into my adv rotation for a while.

    Hope everyone is well

I haven't talked to anyone else that has had the third shot but on the second one I had the reaction the next day.

    Morning Mixers,

I have to get the smog check on my truck today as the registration is due tomorrow. I didn't feel well the other day so I never did it. It just involves some driving - the more you drive the better the results will be for my vehicle which is older.
