But now to a serious matter: I'm looking for 16- or even 32-ounce bottles like these, i.e., made of nice, squeezable LDPE with dispensing caps that twist to open and close. So far, I've had no luck finding what I want on Amazon. Anyone have any ideas?

I looked around. You won't find the LDPE bottles and twist caps at the same place. HDPE bottles and twist caps, yes. But I know why you want LDPE, they're softer and easier to use versus HDPE.

The Cary Company has the 16 oz LDPE bottles: 16 oz. Natural LDPE Plastic Boston Round Bottle, 28mm 28-400

Those take a 28-400 cap and Cary doesn't have the twist caps like you want.

US Plastic carries the 28-400 twist caps but not 16 oz LDPE bottles: 28/400 White Twist Open/Close Cap with White Tip | U.S. Plastic Corp.

Hope that helps. :)

ETA: I'm thinking the 28mm neck would make it easier to pour base ingredients into.

I transfer my PG/VG from the gallon jugs using a funnel into 16 oz bottles with the twist caps. My 16 oz bottles are HDPE though. I should buy some of the LDPE ones and caps I linked for Zazie. I like the idea of using softer bottles. My HDPE bottles are old and have gotten kinks in the sides.

The storm petered out and lost its oomph once it got closer to the wall of cold known as Lake Michigan. Had buckets of rain. Lightning show was cool. Thunder was awesome. Carli dog and I sat on the couch in front of the picture window and watched.

It's too bad the internet doesn't allow people to see when one's tongue is planted firmly in one's cheek.

I have some of the 8oz bottles I got from One stop I think but don't think they have anything larger.

How to use pod devices for testing mixtures

    - I like, and have stocked up with, pod pen and pod mod devices - And have extra pods for all my devices.

I'm going to start mixing flavors into a nic base which I also stocked up on.

Now once I put some mixture into a pod, and let's say I don't like it - It could get quite expensive to keep changing pods for every mix - So the question is what is the best way to empty a partially filled pod and clean it so it can be used for the next mixture?
    - I was thinking that just letting all juice in pod come out by turning it so filling hole is down and then placing a small amount of rubbing alcohol 70% into the pod, shake it up and let it soak awhile and then turn the filling hole upside down to drain and then letting it sit awhile so all alcohol dries out.
    - Does this sound reasonable for cleaning the pod or is there a better way ???

I just run hot water through mine. Shake and let dry.

Testing mixes in a pod isn't the ideal. IMO the best way to test flavors or mixes is in an RDA. No tank to clean. Fast and easy.

Something to consider is a mix (flavors) might be hard to flush out of a pod's coil and wick leaving you with some of the flavor you don't like. Might hose up your future testing.

I don't have any pod's. There are folks here who do use pods. Hopefully they can help.

I once received a squonker from someone whose squonk bottle reeked from whatever juice they used. Tried cleaning it out with Dawn, no go. Baking soda, no go. Soaked it in vodka for a day, no go. Finally I soaked it in vodka for a week. That took care of the problem.

The squonker required a one of a kind Cappy bottle. Can't buy them anymore. None of my spare bottles would fit. Thank heavens for vodka. Funny, I have vodka around but don't drink.

Vodka is my drink but I'm lucky if I have 2 drinks a year.

I've never used alcohol. I usually just rinse really well with hot water and then let it dry. However, I don't use pods for testing flavors. I usually just go ahead and put a flavor test in an rta that I normally use that way I know how it's going to taste in the tank I will use it in. I'd honestly recommend just picking up a cheap rda like an ammit mtl rda or something and use that to test flavors.

Totally opposite on the raspberry. In order to get my preferred good taste of raspberry I definitely need more than .5%. You have better taste than me.
I agree that raspberry enhances strawberry flavours though but I agree also with your percentages on raspberry in a mix. Funny how we're all different :)

Thanks, SMT. The first joint insists on a $200 minimum order, and the second wants to charge me over fourteen bucks to ship ninety-two cents' worth of caps, unfortunately.
