Do you know what’s in them?

Pretty much. Mostly miscellaneous hardware items--wire, wicks, spare mods, spare tanks, spare coils. It's the old stuff I don't know what to do with--old mods I'll never use again, eGo batteries, cartos, clearomizers, etc. And a bunch of doodahs I don't even recognize.

I really need to sort this mess out.

I still use my cartos but in a tank. Haven’t touched an ego or spinner in a very long time. Got a bunch of them.

Years ago, I wanted to PIF my older stuff--but now we don't even have PIF any more. Not to mention that what I have is too old to PIF, anyway. I don't know why I'm hanging on to it. Maybe I'm a hoarder?

You've motivated me. Those V4L cigalikes need to go, for sure. But what do I do with my SmokeStick charging case? It's so cute. I got it from @lorikay13 ~10 years ago.

Goodnight, Frannie. Feeling nostalgic. Time to cook. BBL

Now what do I need to start mixing?

For the moment I'm happy with my pre-mixed commercial vape juice and probably have enough for at least a couple of years - But since the commercial vape industry is under attack and I may still be around a few years down the road I bought some nic concentrate and a few bottles of premixed nic/pg/vg and of course some flavors.

To make mixing as simple and pain free as possible - What's a good mixing kit and where do I buy it ?
Will it come with a guide with formulas to get the right mixture ratios for various amounts ?

    - Thanks

There are endless different ways of mixing. A lot of people like scales. I use measuring cylinders. You can use syringes.

It's a good idea to pick up some mixing software. There are free apps. I made up my own spreadsheet. They will allow you to put in the % of each flavor and how much liquid you want to end up with, including how much nic and PG / VG.

Have you got the bottles to put your mixed juice in?

@Zazie has a blog of the recipes that have been posted on this thread.

Just as a suggestion, how about putting "stuff" in the classifieds as "FREE" in the subject line . . . There are always some people lookin' for "older" stuff - like cartomizer, eGo's, etc. . . . Just Sayin' . . .

I was thinking of one of those mixing kits sold by either the flavor or nic sellers - I think they're about 20 bucks. I thought someone might recmmend one of them.? I have some plastic bottles, could always get more.

Can't help you with kits. Some find them helpful. Try searching the forum for relevant posts. I never got a kit. My mixing started slowly, over the years. I used what I had at the beginning. All you really need is your nicotine base (most of us use 100mg/ml), a bottle of PG and VG as diluents. Some flavorings (some of us like to vape unflavored). A few empty bottles--I'm sure you have tons of them. Wash and dry them--10-15 ml size is good for starters.

I started with Bill's 100 drop method where 1 drop represents 1 percent. If you're mixing at, say, 5% total flavoring, pour 95 drops of your base at the nic strength you like into a 5 (or 10) ml bottle, then add 1 drop per 1% of flavorings. Shake and vape. Doesn't get any easier than that and no special equipment is required.

I learned this method from @Bill's Magic Vapor.

    Thanks, Bill!

If you decide to take your DIY seriously, I recommend mixing by weight. Again, all you'll need is a scale and some more bottles. Nothing else. This thread got me started.

    Thanks, @Capt.shay, wherever you are.

    Good luck!

    Good morning all

Currently sitting here in the day hospital....monthly immunoglobulin. It starts slowly then the gradually speed it up so when you've got through the first 1.5 hrs it goes pretty quickly. Should be home for lunch.

I've got lots of tanks that are nearly ready for a change up. Chocolate float is going in one and I haven't decided on the others....I've got plenty to choose from in my filing cabinet.

@DLKnives keep that OT going mate....sounds like it's going well.

Have a good day everyone

    Hello Charlie1465,
I see you are from France - How is vaping in France? I suppose you know what is going on here, USA, with the FDA trying to outlaw a huge part of vapiing - Do you have problems like that in France?
Do they also do a lot of DIY mixing there?

France is ok although the whole of the EU has the tpd regs so NIC is limited in its strength.

Lots of DIY enthusiasts here too.

The easiest way to get started is with one shots. I would suggest getting a scale, some empty bottles, and look around for a few one shots that sound good. You could also look at ELR or ATF or Zazzie’s blog to see if there are recipes you want to try and order those flavors.

Good morning. I've been feeling a little off since I got my flu shot Saturday. It didn't help that the barometric pressure took a nose dive and my sinuses have been bothering me. I took some Nyquil last night before bed to help me sleep. I'm in a bit of zombie mode today. I feel like I could take a nap.

I've been trying the razzleberry that Fran mentioned. I mixed it with some pudding base and as time goes on it seems like it's blending pretty good but if I was using it in a recipe then I'd probably add a little extra raspberry to boost the flavor.
