I have many plane stories, from big jumbo jets to the tiny puddle jumpers like @Skeebo was on. In my profession I used to spend much time flying all over the place.

One time I was on a flight from LA to Minneapolis. Our plane was a Lockheed L-1011 TriStar like the one below. The L-1011 had a capacity of around 400 people and our flight was nearly full. One of the perks of my job was flying in first class depending on the plane type.

As we got near the airport the Captain came on the intercom and said they were experiencing some snow in the Minneapolis area. I thought, no biggie. While on our final approach into the airport I thought it odd that the cloud deck was going on and on with my seeing no ground. I'm watching out my window thinking the ground will show up soon enough. After another minute I realized why I wasn't seeing the ground. Minneapolis was in the middle of a heavy snowstorm!

After a few minutes the left back landing gear touched down and then the plane started veering to the right. Slick runway. People started screaming. The pilot quickly got the right back landing gear down, with a loud thud. People screamed louder. The lady next to me grabbed my hand and squeezed very tightly. The plane started fishtailing side to side. The nose gear quickly touched down with a jolt. People were still screaming. I pointed to the nearest two exits and told the lady that's our plan just in case.

It took the pilot a bit to get the plane under control. It felt like an eternity. As I looked out my window I could see only falling snow. We taxied for quite some time before I was able to make out the terminal. People cheered when we stopped at our terminal. The pinky and middle finger of my left hand had wedding ring indentations for days after that from that lady squeezing the crap outta my hand. For me that was the scariest landing ever.
I'd probably never get on a plane again.

Under the "More" part of this thread - FYI:

Doctors appointment yesterday went very well, I think. . .

First thing the Youngin' said - "So surprised how good you look compared to what you looked like in the hospital" . . . DAH ! ! ! REALLY ? ? ?

Having Chronic Kidney Disease, Stage 5; Secondary to type 2 Cardio Renal Syndrome, Congestive Heart Failure, and being Hypoglycemia at the time I entered the hospital . . . Although a little worse for the wear - I hope I look "good" now . . . Just Sayin' . . .

Anyway, labs were pretty good . . . Thankfully, I've stayed off having to go on Dialysis (for now), after the loss of over 50+ lbs of water weight in a little over2 months, no longer Stage 5 . . . now at Stage 3 . . .

Next, is trying the get my Diabetes/Glucose numbers back under control . . . Ever since I started the new diuretics to lose the abnormal gain of water weight, daily glucose numbers are extremely wacky even though A1c is pretty good (steady at 6.8 - 7.5) . . . So We'll See . . . Just Sayin' . . .

    .
That's great, Uncle  Much good luck.

    Interested also.
Sorry Fran....I went with SMT's pudding base with one sub. Holy vanilla instead of shisha. It's had a nine week steep and it's delicious as is. I'll probably make a 100ml bottle to try out some fruits etc in it.

I'll definitely try the Mango and Guava cream in the next few days.....I'll be sure to report back

Interested in the INW Marula also. Wonder if it's similar to the FA Amarulu.
From a smell and knuckle test they are very different. INW Marula has a nice sweet and sour taste. FA Amarula Kenya Creamy Coffee (BCF Creamy Liqeur Special) is supposed to be like a coffee amarula cream liqueur. But everyone here tastes different flavor notes from it. INW Marula is the fruit only.

Our cucumber and tomato plants grew like crazy this year but we really didn't get that many cucumbers so far until my wife went out to the garden the other day and brought in five cucumbers and an armload of tomatoes. I guess they were all waiting to grow at the same time. Actually, we finally got some rain so even though we water, I think the rain made them grow.
    And temperatures probably.

I most certainly do :) I don't know whether it's made a difference steeping it for nine weeks but it's definitely a winner... thank you. And no sweetener needed at all!!

53 this morning and the weather is still saying 73.
It’s 84 here, only heading towards 86… so, cool for here. Nothing exciting planned. My set of scrub brushes that attach to the drill came. I’ll probably tackle himself’s walk in shower. Hoping they make it quick and easy.
My Freemax Onnix pods came. @hittman is (of course) right…. quite decent pod mod with good flavor, just enough af. They’re a great little pocket mod. I’ll order more pods and coils for sure. I thought they were fingerprint magnets until I discovered they had super well fitting plastic pieces over the sides :facepalm:

It seems like forever ago since I reviewed that one. I think review years are kinda like dog years except it seems like one month equals one year.

Lunch break here. I actually got some good work done this morning despite the office people transferring some really stupid phone calls to me.
    Sounds like you're feeling better?
