I did that for a while. Can't remember much of what we did, I think it involved blue robes and carrying holy items to the Vicar during services. When I was 13 he gave us an unused junk room in the 600 year old church to use for a boys club, on condition we cleaned it up. We spent a whole summer cleaning and painting. We finished it up and went in one Sunday after the service for our first boys club meeting and discovered the room had been grabbed by the elderly ladies group for bible study. We went to complain to the Vicar and he told us sorry but boys club was off the table. We all walked out. Never been in a church since. One of the lads parents were away for the day and he had scored 3 large bottles of cider from his older brother so we went to his place and misbehaved. First time I drank alcohol. I remember one guy taking his first ever sip of booze. He swallowed a huge gulp of the fizzy cider then choked and blew it out of his nose all over the Monopoly board we had set up to amuse ourselves. Ah the memories.
