@FranC , are you using the nautilus 2s coils in anything besides the abyss? I'm thinking about getting a tank to use those coils and am not sure what tanks are compatible. I just haven't kept up with Aspire stuff.

    Question time again.

I got a bunch of tanks converted to TC. Some on Picos and some on Solos. The Solos seem to be working better. I'm using TCR on the Solos set to 105 for SS. Seems to work better than the default 101.

With a couple of the tanks that are otherwise working great I get a loud annoying popping noise. My guess it is something to do with spaced coils, but it only happens on two tanks. I haven't used spaced coils for years. Maybe it depends on how much spacing there is. Any thoughts?

Another problem is that the resistance on some tanks keeps increasing, from .62 to around .9. Only happens with full size Lemos. I vaguely remember that happening before, think it's just a full size Lemo thing, connectivity was always dodgy on them which I know is more of a problem with TC. Or maybe I didn't screw the wires down hard enough.

It's a pain having to go through the learning curve again, I had wattage mode all figured out.

You also have Nautilus 3 to consider, available in 24, 22 as well as the Nano size.
Larger AFC adjustment room compared to the GT series.

Element still has the Squid Peacemaker v2. It takes either nauty (with adapter, supplied) or smok baby coils. It has a nice metal cage to protect the glass. Medium mtl up to wide open. Def no tight mtl, but excellent Goldilocks tank.

Catching up on housework (blech!). Was it the SSA cheesecake you liked? What did you end up doing with it?
Yes. It is the first cheesecake/graham flavor that actually does have graham in it. You have to add the cheese. It benefits from adding a bit of cream to smooth it out. I actually haven't done much with it but I believe I have a couple mixes steeping.

I’ll be interested in how they turn out. I forgot I had a test solo steeping. It’s at 5 weeks. I get a brie kind of vibe from it, and CRUST (yay!!!). I was thinking of adding a less whole cc to it. And fruit of course. Cream would be a better choice?

I had I similar thing happened the other day...
Out of all my Billet Box bridges, only the Qbix popped and suddenly served me up a terrible spit back...got to that point I didn't want to use that tank anymore. Tried a few things without success, then someone suggested to lower the coil. It worked...spit back stopped abruptly. Now me and the Qbix are friends again.

Good to know. I haven't used mine yet.

I think adding another cheesecake would work to smooth it out also.

Can't help in the TC part, but the two things I'd look at are a loose wick and for any possible "shorts" across the coil turns.

Coil height? Dunno, but maybe. My general rule of thumb there is to put the coil height about the same as the coil ID, so if say a 2.5 mm coil, set it about 2.5 mm up. Affects air flow.

Afternoon stretch here. Still raining. I feel like tomorrow should be Friday but it isn't. The boss is off to California to visit the wife again starting tomorrow so it will be a zoo for a few days.

I also bought the ssa cheesecake but haven't tried it yet. I'm so far behind on trying flavors.

@NolaMel I found my notes. I mixed 30ml of the SSA Cheesecake on Graham. When steeped I poured half in a 15ml bottle. I added WF Boysenberry/Raspberry 2% and FLV Brie 1% and SSA Whipped Cream 1% to one bottle and FLV Brie 1%, SSA Cranberry Jam 1% and SSA Natural Raspberry 1% to the other bottle. At that point I forgot them so I'm glad you asked. I'll be trying one soon.
