    Somewhere between here and there
I got the lawn mowed again. It’s growing like crazy with all the rain we’ve been having. It’s supposed to rain four days this week. I’m sick of it. Not only is the grass tall every four days but there’s a high moisture content in it so it’s heavy and clogs the mower. I tipped it over and cleaned it out after I finished. Then sharpened my extra blade and installed it. Hopefully that helps next time.

I’m still dripping the butter pecan recipe. I’m not sure if I’ll remix it but am confident that I can finish it.

Grass sure isn’t growing fast here. We still need rain. Little showers here and there isn’t cutting it.

    SNIP...

Since the war started I've been watching more TV news. Mainly BBC World News and Euro News. There's one obvious difference between them and US news channels. You can watch them all day and never know where the hosts stand politically.

I'm more or less the same. But I will say they definitely have a political leaning... they are just more likely to still ask "hard questions" to their own party. It feels like objective reporting is effectively dead in the US

Good afternoon, SMT :) Just contemplating mixing tomorrow.
Me too. I gathered up a pile of ideas (all on lil pieces of paper ). Still need to write up some recipes and then get those mixed.

My Nom Nomz order is supposed to be delivered Monday. I am looking forward to mixing with the new flavors.

    Which new ones?
A few of the new Sobucky Super Aroma ones...

    SSA Apple (Fresh)
    SSA Chocolate Mousse
    SSA Flakey Pastry
    SSA Waffle and Butter

    A new Wonder Flavour...

    WF Kiwi (Yellow) SC

    And an older SSA...

    SSA Chocolate

There were some others I wanted, but those were sold out. Oh well, next order, or maybe BCF will get the rest of the new SSA and WF flavors in soon.

I'm itching to try flakey pasty and waffle & butter in a couple mixes.

It poured buckets here last night for about an hour. There was some good house shakin' boomers and very a fine lightning show. We had fun watching all that.

It did seem that there was a little off taste with the rayon for my first few puffs, but not noticing it now.

Some do report that, Gloop, others don't notice it at all. Me, I generally saturate and fire a few times while the rta is still on the build deck, both to make sure the coil is working right and to avoid any possibility of that. And yes, seems that those who do notice it also report the same, gone after a few puffs.

Took advantage of the rain delay and got the rest of the whacking done. Before I need to start all over. (Actually, I "scalp" the edging, so it really only needs it about every third mow.) And yeah, mowed Monday, ready for it again, but - nope. :)

I have a simple recipe for the Flakey Pastry. What’s your thoughts on one for the waffle?

Ugh... I ordered something from smok store. Tues they said it had shipped, its now Sunday USPS says the shipping label was made, but they haven't received the package. I see a lot of companies doing this. Really rubs me the wrong way when a company says something shipped when in reality they just printed a label and intend to take their time dropping it off.

In my case USPS had it for 5 days before scanning it. Might not be the seller.

For the waffle I wrote up a simple 3 flavor mix. It's really only to get to know the waffle.

    So far, I'm thinking this...

SSA Waffle and Butter 2% (might go with a little less, IDK yet)
    WF Vanilla Cream Extra 0.75% - 1%
FA Maple Syrup - just a touch, like 0.5%

Or... instead of maple syrup, VTA Golden Syrup, still thinking on that. Golden syrup is good, it's a dark syrup and not as sweet.

    Ok, I remember now.

When I said VTA Golden Syrup is a dark syrup... I meant darker tasting, not in color. It has a light golden color. ;)

Flavor wise, it is no where near as sweet as FA Maple Syrup. It has a dark kind of sweetness, if that makes any sense. It's not maple(y) or honey tasting either. There are no floral notes. It is an excellent syrup for waffles or pancakes (or any other bakery).

Sweetness wise, I think it's a solid 5 on a scale of 1-10 (10 being sickly sweet, 1 being near zero sweet).

And... made my mind up... going with VTA Golden Syrup for my SSA waffle mix. :D
