To be honest; I don't yet know. My newest bottle was purchased 9/2017, and I haven't cracked it open yet. I think I am close... less than a mL of the working bottle. I will try to remember to share any observations when I do.I love AM4A but didnt mention it because it was supposedly reformulated it and I have not tried the newer version. Ive heard everything from "its the same" to "its terrible now". Im not even sure it was re-done to be honest. Just going by what Ive read. I still have about 3oz of a bottle from a year or so ago. What do you think of newer batches? I would actually trust your opinion.
I find them to be a 1:1 sub. There are some, in the DIY community, that find TFA has a peppery note (though; I am not one). Others say CAP is richer (and I concur with this).Any thoughts on substituting CAP VBIC instead of TPA VBIC in the Vanilla Milkshake Base?
TFA Vanilla Bean Gelato, is one of TFA's offerings to remove D/A/AP from their custard... similar to Vanilla Swirl. Swirl is simply D/A/AP free. Gelato is also D/A/AP free, and has Butyric Acid added to help replace the missing richness of the original custard. (Butyric Acid is the one that some get the unpleasant smell from.) I would consider these both more of a "custard," vs. an "ice cream."I have vanilla bean gelato. Should I wait until I make another order, or can I sub?

I got my order and can use any further thoughts on the Granola.(Recipe ideas) I haven't even thought of mixing or even taking the flavors out of the baggies due to too much dang company. I also got the FW yogurt and can use any recipes type suggestions. Custard Notes in Flavors
"If you would like to learn a bit how to tell the differences, you can compare our Vanilla Custard (which has both acetoin and acetylpropionyl), with our Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (which is nearly identical, but uses only acetylpropionyl). You may also find it interesting to compare Vanilla Bean Gelato to these, which is again nearly identical, but uses butanoic acid instead of any diketones. By tasting these three flavors, you can begin to get a sense of the differences between (and your preferences for) acetyl propionyl, butanoic acid, and acetoin."
BTW, I use CAPS VBIC or the TPA VBG. The reason I went looking is because when I started using the Vanilla Bean Gelato years ago, it contained acetylpropionyl at that time. Clearly they have reformulated it. I wish they would date some of their notes and descriptions on their website, would make it easier to follow along.
